Oh yeah, something else I would need to know is about your current CDI... Is it DC or AC?

What type of stator do you have? AC fired, I'm guessing ac and dc scoots have different wiring? Or just different from the stator to components? Reason I am asking is because I am also rebuilding another scooter on the side, it had a DC fired system and I received an AC fired stator in the new engine. Yes, A/C and D/C stators will have different hook-ups, but also, stators of the same current type will have different connectors.... For Example, an 11 pole A/C will have 5 to 6 wires, an A/C 8 pole will have 4 to 5... I do have an extra harness I would be willing to let go $45.00 (plus $5~10.00 S&H)... I wasn't really wanting to let it go because I was going to strip out all the connectors for my stock of connectors, but to help another forum member I will sell it. It's a harness that was removed from a 2009 150cc Tank (Hunter/phantom style).... It's complete, even has all the lightbulbs in their sockets. I don't know if you seen my 11 pole stator Video? I make cables and wiring harness's, so I'll be able to make a custom harness for you so all your connections will be plug and play... You will have to provide detailed pictures of your stator plug and your R/R connector.

This is what ebay wants to know correct? Thx No - not tappet distance, that is not what ebay wants to know. This is a picture of a GY6 50CC valve, See the length? That's what "ebay" wants to know. Do you want 64mm length or 69mm length,... They're asking this question because I would imagine there's two different size size heads...

Actually these oil temp gauges only go up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit ! Why is that ? I'd say its because the regular oil temps should stay in that range . Because it's a low quality toy and not a mechanics instrument... I've noticed you've been beating the oil drum lately.... Oil coolers and now this.... So I think you need to armed with a little more information.... Source

I advise against putting diesel fuel in your scooter to flush it.
What I do advise is just to buy a new gasket set, new set of rings and rent a honing tool. You can get ALL of this for around $30~50.00 to the door. Take the engine apart, clean it real good and re-assemble....
It's kind of a lot of work, but you'll wind up with a like new motor and the satisfaction of knowing it's done right.

I've never heard anyone use both . Well, now ya have. The NCY gasket is meant as a replacement for the stock flange gasket, not both. The copper/cork core crush washer is used in conjuncture with the flange gasket... If you examine an NCY gasket, it has a metal ring that corresponds and aligns with the crush washer. Now, can you use just the NCY one? It would appear so, seeing as how you are... However, I have both installed, and mine is working as well... So, I dunno, all I can do is offer my experience and opinion. I suggest using both. If you don't, there will be a gap on the inside of your flange gasket and the ring indented in the head...

I'm sorry, but I have one problem with this: these are the same manufacturers who put out scooters with parts we All say to change during PDI. I think you may be confusing the cheap labor force (shop assembly workers) and greedy execs that cut corners on things like hoses, with the actual engineers that designed these engines.... When you purchase a quality ZNEN (or similar) scooter, you don't have to change out all the hoses and if you purchased from a shop that does a quality PDI with that ZNEN, you do nothing but ride. The specs you see on your scooter service plate are specs that came from skilled workers, not the people that assemble them. Anyhow, if you feel they're joking about the specs, or even that they don't know what they're talking about, more power to ya... I'm not on here to convince anyone, of anything... Me personally, I will go with the Manufacturers recommendations vs a Joe Schmoe article from the net.

I put the helicoil in and filled the transmission. If I get a chance , Im going to run it today. Edit: I had the chance. I left it all pretty much apart. My neighborhood has exactly one mile of pavement if you do the whole circuit. That includes one steep .2 mile climb. Since there are no mirrors/lights, I wanted to keep it closer to home. The main road has a 50mph speed limit, and I included .5 miles of that. I let it warm up completely before take off, and kept the rpms low for about 5/10 minutes. I spent about 35 minutes/13 miles of varying from idle to almost WOT, never over revving. During warmup, there was a very small amount of smoke for a minute. I attribute that to whatever lube was left in the cylinder for inserting the rings. Other than that, no smoke at all! I am going to run it like this for a few more times... till I put about 50 miles on the new rings. Then I'll get a tag and take it out. In the meantime, the back brakes are a joke and I noticed that the handle bar is a little bent like it had been laid down on that side. It seems to be limited to the handlebar as the front end seems to track and turn well. In fact, it rides really good, so I am not sure that I will fix the handlebar. I think some carb tuneup/variator weighting is definitely in order. After warmup, it idles almost too low. It doesn't seem to have has quick a pickup as Scoot #1. After 50 miles or so, I'll give it WOT in the flats and see what it will do and how long it takes to do it. Then I will do some hills and see what it will do. Good job on the Build! I just recently finished a build myself, it sure is a good feeling when you hit the key and she fires up for the first time isn't it? Mine did the same as yours, for about the first 2 minutes she smoked, then it started to dissipate and after 5 min, the smoke was completely gone... I was worried and trippin think I clocked my rings wrong or something.... Boy oh boy was I relieved when the smoke let up.... Anyhow, good job on the build and have a bone on me!

Will any old ebay orange coil work as good as any other? IMO, yes. I own an orange one for one of my A/C scoots and a few of the blue ones for my PFS Universal DC CDI's... All work fine... I have an orange one on my new 4 valve, 155cc I just built.

That is going to be quite a hot rod. You should be able to run with an S-MAX after break-in. That is the goal. I'm matching spec for spec so far... Stil have to change the final gears in the transmission, but soon I'll have that done as well. I finished uploading the videos of the tare down and the build: It's a playlist of 8 videos.

the one thing i don't like about ultra black is small pieces will get in the oil and possibly clog the oil flow. it's funny because it's oil resistant property is also the reason i like it but this tube has gone bad or maybe i'm doing something wrong. after researching more i think i'm going to stop using ultra black and try permatex the right stuff. There's a couple things I don't like about gasket maker.... For one, if you don't get right, it's gonna leak... On that note, I found that getting it "right" is more artwork than a mechanics repair... Second thing I don't like is clean up/ removal for when you have to work on the item again... I've been lucky at times and removed the after product as whole gasket, other times it came off in about 198,976,098,124,496³ pieces.
