Does anyone k.ow where to get a high torqe 9 teeth starter for a fitty? Besides scrappys. Will a one from a 50cc 2t fit? Hi, are sure you need one with 9 teeth? Here's a link for a Taida 50-80cc starter . That link is for Taida's high torque starter for the 50~80cc, but it has 10 teeth. I don't have a great deal of experience with the 50cc motor and don't know if they normally have 9 or 10 teeth on their starters. But the 150's I do know for sure are 9 tooth.

Yep, i'm back on two wheels, got a Bintelli Havoc yesterday from Rock Road Scooter Company in St Ann. Lets see, last time i was on here was at the old URL, i lived in PHX, rode a Kymco, and was even a moderator before falling off the planet. Now, i'm in the STL area, and as noted, on a Bintelli. Boy, has the scooter market changed, i'm going to need to do a lot of catching up. This one's going to be getting me to work over in St Charles, which'll be an interesting ride as the only ways into St Charles county are three freeways, though luckily the northern one has a bike lane (the shoulder, and MODOT doesn't bother to keep it clean). Any how, time to lurk and catch up, see y'all around. Hi, what size Havoc did ya get? I own two Bintelli Havoc's 150cc's and they have been outstanding scooters. I can get to 62MPH on one.. The other is still at 222 miles and isn't even good and broke into yet, so not sure where it's going to max out... Somethings I can share about the Havoc. The President of Bintelli (Justin) is a member of this forum. In addition to contacting him through Bintelli's website, you can reach him on here. This is a super valuable resource because he can get you anything you need. Just recently he gave me the wiring diagram for the Havoc, FREE OF CHARGE! Justin is a pretty cool guy and having access to him is a nice asset... I have gone over every inch of my Havocs and if you need any help with anything, just shoot me a PM to flag my attention. I love my Havoc's and think you will love yours as well.. The stopping power of the dual disk brakes is just awesome compared disk/drum.....

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good guide for derestricting a 2009 50cc Yamaha Zuma? While I have no doubt someone here will eventually respond with the info you're looking for... In the mean time, you may want to try a Zuma forum. Zuma forums . netProvoScooter . com

I personally can not offer you advice on this, but I just read a thread by abefroman and he's currently in the process of upgrading to bigger wheels/tires... You may want to send him a personal message to get a heads up on what he's gone through and what to expect... Here's a LINK to the thread. Good luck!

Good point... But keep in mind that even though current will be dumped into your peripherals and R/R, under heavy load is when the stator will build it's max heat..... Have you ever touched an alternator after it charged a dead battery? Very hot! Yep! I stated it as GPH (gallons per hour) but horsepower works too! The bigger the stator, the more power it will rob from your engine.

But how much is too much? Good question. The extra juice doesn't come free. Watts can be directly translated into heat. More watts, more heat I have to worry about removing from the engine... In addition, It may hurt my MPG because this stator should build more resistance..And the R/R will have to dissipate more heat... So, there are a few trade off's if you care about such things.... But as far as making too much usable electrical current... That ultimately only depends upon your power requirements. As far as the actual install, I'm wanting to get to ASAP but right now, the scoot has the battery out and on the maintainer and my carb is drained.... Here in Michigan, this time of year we have to prep our scoots for the winter... So, If I do it now, I have to undo my prep... Plus, I'm still waiting on a few more parts to complete this build.

Maybe that was his plan from the beginning..... ? Oh c'mon, get 'em hooked and then corner the market...? Who would do something like that? Just joking, ... I posted to share and even if they're out of stock at the moment, I'm sure they will be back in stock at some point...

Looks like you got the last one.... "Sorry, this item is no longer available!" That would be the last 29, not one I initially ordered 4, I have those on hand but then I struck a deal yesterday for 20 singles and 5 kits. I don't think I eliminated the stock however because after the fact they were still available. But the link was active yesterday when I posted them. Maybe some of the people that saw this link/thread purchased some......

Taotao make a decent scooter,,mine had a few issues with cross threaded bolts and so on..I was thinking to go into the scooter business too,,but with proper PDI and all that time,,would it really be worth it? You really need a good lawyer and insurance company if you are going to rent out these scooters man..everybody and anybody is looking to make a $$ on somebody for a mistake...even if its not your mistake. You should have a good lawyer and Insurance, no matter what kind business you open. In addition, I have to deal with the state and get the required licences. But even though there's people out there trying to get ahead by getting over on others, there a LOT more good and honest people. As far as TaoTao being a decent scooter, I'd say that's in the eye of the beholder. I say the same thing about my Bintellis, but someone who purchased a $4000 Honda, Kymco or Vespa will still consider my scooter "chinese junk"... But see, Bintelli provides a MotoBatt battery, NGK plug, gates belt, ZNEN motor with quality fuel/air hoses, duro tires..... Etc etc... These are things you will have to upgrade on a TaoTao and when you factor that cost, it will add up that of a Bintelli. I only purchased these TaoTao's to get my foot in the door. One way or another, they will not be mine for long and I will offer a better scooter when I get more funds.

There is a tao scooter rental company a couple of miles from my house. I don't know how well they are doing but they have been around for over a year. Man, you sure ar jumping in head first lol. Good luck. Is there any other way to jump in? In addition to the scooter rentals, I have became an authorized distributor of Taida parts. I will be launching a web store late feb~early march thanks to my good friend Fanny Syong (Taida Sales). To top it off, I have my own personal projects.... I have one Bintelli Havoc I'm building for the GY6 Twist'n Gone this spring... It will be outfitted with a Taida 232cc and some super secret other ingredients. MY other Bintelli Havoc, she's being converted into a 191cc. Ecotrons EFI, Taida 4 valve head, 63mm piston and +3.5 stroker... All water & oil cooled.... And of course all this being put on video to promote my youtube channel. ----------------------------- The thing is, I've been in IT tech since I started working at 14 (now i'm 40). I hate it. I am tired of fixing computers and helping businesses "modernize". So, a change of pace is good.... However, until I get something really established, I will be doing both (IT and scoots).... Where I live these scooters are a seasonal thing so I suppose it will all work out... 18~20hrs a day will be my work schedule this spring/summer.. But as my Dad always says: I'll have plenty of time to sleep when I'm dead!

I went ahead and I ordered 3 of these when they went on sale..... It was my first order from Killermotorsports... I haven't done the PDI yet as I've been slammed but they are in the shop and I'll be making some videos on how to do a proper PDI. I purchased these for a small scooter rental company I'm starting.... I live in an area that is full of vacation rentals and am surrounded by lakes. I've arranged to run a shop out of a local boat rental agency. I may even open a real shop and just start reselling them (if I can find a cheap and reliable source). Not sure if I can stand the financial risk yet. Also, I don't want to only sell TaoTao's... I would like to sell a quality scooter in addition. Be very careful renting Taotaos. They are good for the price for what they are, but can not withstand the commercial style of abuse a rental scooter will take. Last thing you want to do is get a bad name for yourself from the get go. I have given a great deal of thought to this. Last thing I want is for someone to rent a scooter from me and be sitting on the side of the road. My goal is just to use these TaoTao's to get my foot in the door. They will be replaced as soon as funds become available.... I'm pretty handy with a wrench and my hope is that I can get these scooters running good enough to rent... But I know this is a roll at the table. The best thing about my Bintelli's are that I never wonder if it's going to start. If I can not get these TaoTao's up to that standard, I will not rent them out. I've been to Bintellis website many times and seen how large your dealer network is. You don't get to that level unless you know what you're doing. So, I take what you say with great merit... If you have any more advice or tips, I'd love to hear it.
