I plan on getting CF reeds and an intake too . When it comes to a 50cc hands down a 2T is better unless it is the the type that is chaindriven instead of having a CVT . The exhaust port was D shaped instead O shaped like the BBK so maybe porting it may help it go above 8k . If you stay at 9k or less you should be fine . The performance cranks can handle higher RPMs as some use needle bearings instead of ball bearings and the full circle type have higher compression too

here is an easy link to see the video . Look for the black and white thing that that say scene 1 act 1 etc before the director says action and click and paste the url in the field in it

If you have 35w/35w you may use 40w/45w ( lo and hi ) . I would think a 250 it would be brighter since 250s have more poles . Replacing running and dash lights with LEDs will help some . I even put in a LED for the tail on my 2T and it helped some even though its 5w but 25w for the brake light when applied . Is yours powered by the stator or battery ?

Oh yeas CVT tuning does wonders . I replaced the 8g rollers with 5gs on my 4T scoot and WOW it was faster .
When I put in sliders my takeoff was a hair less but it had a better and more steady power curve . I hated the noise of roller rattle and sliders are much more quieter and last longer . I will weigh mine to see how much they have worn since takeoff is even faster but I top at 67 to 70 instead of 75 and RPMs are higher at 60 MPH according to my ears . Mt scoot redlines at 8,500 or at least that what the HP is rated at .
I have 8g DR Pulley sliders in my hot rod 2T and I can still hit 9k RPMs up a hill with a running start so I will need to get a taller gear

I replaced my 12.2g rollers at 5,500 miles with 12g Dr Pulley sliders and gained 5 MPH . A lil over 13k miles they have worn down so I will be trying 13g DR Pulley sliders this week and see what top speed will be with a new variator too

Only use a trickle charger around 1/2 amp like from Battery Tender

Check out www.coocase.com I have one it is reinforced with metal , has a push button to open so you have the option to lock or not where my stock box locked when it shut . It comes hardwired for an optional alarm and has quick removal option as the mounting bracket stays on when you remove it . My stock box rattled and was wimpy . It cracked up at the hinges and broke in half

When new the piston is tight just like new shoes and with more miles it will be broken in and rev up easier just like shoes get comfy after broken in . To break it in try to ride around half of the top speed and go up to maybe 80 % with the RPMs going up and down . Avoid long duration at the same RPM and do not redline it . My Magnum would max out at 8k RPMs and fizzle if I went above it when I went downhill . Mine came with 6g rollers . I tried 4g and it was too light and lost top end . I mixed them up to equal 5g and I liked it . Mine has a 5 pin CDI like many do and I replaced the stock one with a blue finned racing CDI which did help on takeoff and midrange but had the same top end . I tried out a Uni vent cover which is around half the size of the red Uni airfilter and upjetted to a main jet . It was a hair louder since I could hear the air being drawn in but it had more bottom and midrange power and response . Make sure to only use premium gas preferably nonethanol if you can it . Here is a page to look up ethanol free gas stations . Make sure to use premium 2T oil instead of the weedeater cheap stuff . I use Maxxima 2T Pro synthetic blend . I have also used Motul 710 full synthetic oil but hated paying 17 a quart instead of 10 . I replaced the standard NGK sparkplug with a NGKBRP8HIX which is the iridium since they fire better and not as likely to get fouled out by oil build up . Some opt for the 7 in that sparkplug which is a hotter plug . Iridium may not make it go faster but it keeps it running at its best . Many 2Ts use Mikuni VM11/22 main jets and a larger MJ will help it as with a 2T it is better to be a hair rich than dead on it or lean . Here is a guide you can use to compare yours with as there is more than one type of main jet . www.jetsrus.com/FAQs/FAQ_identify_that_jet.htm A caliper is a great tool to get an accurate measurement of small parts and they are cheap . Here is a jet kit with 10 diff sizes to help you tune the carb www.partsforscooters.com/114-50-Minarelli-Main-Jet-Kit?sc=34&category=133078 . The additional larger ones will be handy later should you install a BBK or replace the pipe . On a 2T the exhaust plays a more important roll in performance . Here is great article on 2T exhaust options 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/1391 A stock engine you would want a street or sport pipe not racing . The Leo Vince HM70 is a great pipe and not too loud . My scooter dealer has a Yamaha Zuma with it and a 70cc BBK . It is a wheelie machine . I have a PM racing pipe which is as loud as a Yamaha YZ 80 . It does not have baffling so takeoff is less since it does not build up backpressure but it has awesome power at mid and top end . With a 70cc BBK , pipe and Uni ( proper air filter not the vent cover ) a 120 MJ on a 19mm TK carb it is a screamer and so far I outran two 150s and smoked several 50 to 80cc 4T scoots . If you have the cabbage you can get a power kit which has everything you need to turn it into a monster like this one www.partsforscooters.com/169-210_Power_Pack?sc=34&category=133355 Note they have it in 10mm and 12mm sizes so measure the wristpins before ordering it or any engine kit . A street kit has two compression rings where a racing only has one so its less friction and revs higher providing you have a tuned pipe but does not last as long . Here is an example www.spmotostore.com/Cylinder_kit_Stage6_RACING_70cc_MKII_12mm_CPI_p/s6-7419502.htm

I was going to buy an Adley 2T and my dealer told me to cut the pink wire . I would get a size or two larger main jet in the carb and try lighter sliders . My Jonway Magnum would hit 45 to 50 all day long stock with only going from a 68 MJ toa 75 and NGK iridium at that time . A BBK pipe and rejetting can make it turn into a screamer . Here is derestriction tips www.scootnfast.com/scooter/Tuning_mods/De-Restricting.htm

I think you meant backwards as no way could you put it on upside down . On a 2T there should be an arrow that you point towards the exhaust pipe . If you did not install a larger main jet then it seized from being too lean .

Have you checked the diaphragm for tears in the top of the carb ?

Check the tubing from the airbox to the carb for leaks as well as the intake maifold . I had a small vacuum hose pop off of my TaoTao and man it ran like crap . I made it home and noticing the little hose dangling . I saw where it was attached but the clip was gone too . I put on a screw down clamp since they hold better and it was good again .

Wow it just fell apart ? How could you not hear it ? Surely it is louder afterwards . You have a 2T pipe on a 4T scooter ? If so how did it perform ?
