Does a 70cc 2 stroke have as much power as a 150cc 4 stroke?

i think it could be as fast as one if set up correctly, mine has a top speed of 53-54 mph but will not get there as fast as a 150cc not as much torque as a 150, but if set up with racing parts i think it could be as fast as one, with racing cylinder and crankshaft, bigger carburetor right exhaust and new intake and reeds new variator and clutch and maybe new final drive gears, there are setups out there that can produce almost 20hp that is more than 150cc but you would definitely be rebuilding it quite often

I've ridden a couple of 2 stroke scooters with the big bore kits and felt they didn't have any more punch than my 50cc 2 stroke. What I'm trying to get is quick acceleration up to a true 45 mph and be able to get up hills without losing to much speed. I thought maybe I can obtain this easier with a 150cc 4 stroke or do you think it can be done with the wright big bore kit on my 2 stroke?

To get a 2T a screamer you really need a racing pipe with expansion chamber and cone to get to top end power . Some stock pipes are only tubing to a muffler and they will not perform anywhere close to a tuned pipe .
My Jonway Magnum with a MODcycle 47mm BBK , PM Racing pipe and a Uni I can do 50 up a large steep hill with a running start . I have outran 2 150s so far and smoked several 50 to 80cc 4ts . My Echarm which is a 150 but is LC and has Ducatti EFI will outrun just like I have evcery 150 that I raced . My 2T is weird as its not geared for fast take off but when I go over 50 MPH its like it goes into an underdrive and redliming . I even put in 8g sliders where most use 4 or 5 to try to lower the RPMs at highway riding but I can still go past the redline uphill until I get taller gears .
I could tell a huge diff with only 7mm bigger piston as I could pop a wheelie at 50 MPH when the powrband kicked in at 8,500 and it screams up to 10,500 when I ran 5g rollers

To get even more out of it you want to get a full circle crank . The stock cranks are often rated to 10k RPMs where HP can go up to 16k RPMs . The FC has more material around the circle so compression will be higher . Hoca came out with stuffer cranks that have plastic inserts but I would rather have all metal . I thought maybe I can obtain this easier with a 150cc 4 stroke or do you think it can be done with the wright big bore kit on my 2 stroke? they probably didn't have them set up right, with bbk 45 shouldn't be a problem with most bbk kits if you are just looking for 45 and power uphill than most should give you that with a good expansion chamber and up-jet on the carburetor

i think most have cast iron kits, i have had both right now i am running am airsal aluminum kit over a thousand miles on it and still running good i put a bigger carb on 19mm and 100 main jet with open air filter and leo vince zx pipe, the cast iron kit was good too top end on the cast iron was a little less and a little slower than to get there and the finish on the airsal kit was nicer than the cast iron, i got the kit from racing planet usa, for $147, but it looks like they are out of stock right now they have them here for $179 www.provoscooter.com/scooters/airsal-t6-cylinder-minarelli-horizontal-12mm.html

That looks like a good kit. I will keep it on my list of things I want for now. I saw a kit made by NCY on scooterpartsplace but it looked more for race and was a $100 more. Reliability is also a factor.

from what i have heard the cast iron kits are supposed to be more forgiving, but i have had no problems with the aluminum one i got, i did do away with the oil injection on mine and just switched to premix not much of a hassle and don't have to worry about the oil pump failing i usually keep some oil on the scooter in case i do have to stop at a station and fill up, the kit i got recommended mixing 32:1, the good thing about doing the bbk is i am not running at full throttle all the time to keep up with traffic and climbing hills is so much easier

I switched to premix when my injector started leaking. If you use synthetic oil you can go 50:1. I keep a gas can of premix at home and just top off before I ride.

My 70cc 2t has no problem dogging the stock 150 and i have beat the zuma 125.I like the steel kits better with duel ring for everyday riding and longevity but must aluminium kits are made to produce more power and can last and be used for everyday riding also but most are single ring kits and will need to be rebuild sooner then most steel kits plus if you every soft seize most aluminium kits are shot after one. my favorite steek kit to date is the stage 6 street race. I have mixed gas manually and used the pump i prefer the oil pump much better,simpler and i think you use less oil that way. I live in va and have a lot of mountain in my town no issues on the 70cc there but having a properly tune cvt is also a big key on any scooter to get the best results from your scooter.
