I just received a 7 amp battery from Scrappy Dog Scooters today. To keep it charged, while working on the motor, I picked up a charger from Harbor Freight. After reading the warning on the charger, I'm wondering if it is safe to use with this battery. Both of the user manuals mention "absorbed". I'm pretty sure it is safe, but, not positive. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks , Loren

I too have a Battery Tender, it's worth it's weight in gold. I know you're on the cheap, like most of us but this time we got to fork over the ("You get what you pay for, or pay twice latter") ca$h.

Okay, then I need to find one in the Dallas area. I'm hoping to get this bike, back to life today. Thanks guys... time to get busy. Later this morning; Well, Wally had the Jr. for $35. so picked it up. Amazon or eBay would have been fine, if, I had ordered earlier this week. My bad. Good to go for now, Thanks Guys.

A float charger (also called a trickle charger) is what you need. The battery manual is instructing on how to fill your wet battery with electrolyte while the battery charger is warning you that it is not designed for AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries the ones with the spirally wound cells of glass mats/woven material with electrolytic jelly spread on them.
The Centech from Harbor Frieght that you originally purchased was the correct charger and would have been just fine. It is rated for batteries as small as 5 amp and you have a 7 amp battery so it was all good.
