On mine the threads were striped , I drilled the threads out . Stuck the bolt out from the inside . Put the bushing from the inside on the bolt . Then on the outside I put a washer and a nylon lock nut . Same for both sides .

Scooter if you buy from my website you can check with paypal without making an account . I'm with you, I have a cc terminal I don't do phone orders I want your cc info less than you want to give it to me (for instance) . If a fraudster gives me a bad card I become suspect too . Then not having the card in hand doesn't help .
Part of the reason I did not want to touch the shims is , I really am unsure about them being hype or not . I would rather loose the sale , Than sell hype . if this item works and you see a noticeable difference . That is what I look for . I have people call me for items I know nothing about and I tell them . If your variator is not closing up all the way , and a few shims between the starter gear and the variator back plate . Will help close up the variator is golden .

I would suggest because the noise is only at start up , put a variable timing CDI , If it gets better I would order a starter clutch with the seal and gaskets for whatever comes apart to have on hand . you will need a flywheel puller and a starter clutch nut remover .
We can get the starter clutch changed in like two hours .

he was talking about me with the shims , I don't know where to get them or what they look like . I imagine its the type item where shipping is 3 or 4 times the cost of the part .

I have to say I have not seen the harness buggy sells . I though of making one to sell with the kit . After working on a few scooters I saw , either you will fall short on one or be too long on another . Its not always the $5 difference in price its piece of mind . I heard buggy is pretty good .
Hands down , Rich/Bashin has the best illustrations with written documentation that I have seen across the forums . Brent makes really good videos . JR comes up with diagrams from thin air sometimes .

DM the names don't ring a bell . so what are you doing selling all those parts or is that the collection of parts you have acquired in an effort to solve this problem ? Scooter harnesses in general don't line up too well , there are so many variations of the scooters there is no set standards .

DM , no middleman here you can do as you please . So I was just wondering what the vendor has to say about the problem your trying to solve ? Before during and after sale support and the dirty word "tech help" so did your request for tech help end up in ignored phone calls no answer to your messages . DM there is a reason I ask "what did the vendor say" . DM you and your little electrical problem has nothing to do with my mojo .
DM will the harness reach on the kit you bought ? will you end up splicing wires anyway ?
This was posted in the "Dealer and Parts Vendor Special" section , this area is for dealer/vendors to post there Specials . John

Is it ac or dc stator ? What ever happened to my answer here It is setup for scooter with AC CDI and is truly plug'n play for scooters of this variety. It even has the feed for the enricher. Some of these scooters, even though the lights are 12VDC, the lights themselves don't care if it's AC or DC and in order to gain a little extra power, the lights get AC power. Now I'll try to explain this without being rude.... Stators produce AC, that AC is converted to DC by the R/R... Here's where it gets tricky.. Some scoot manufacturers take power from the AC for lights, some use DC for the lights... Now, depending upon the amount of power the stator produces and how the R/R is configured, if you use a system that's configured for DC and put it on an AC CDI/lights/choke scoot, you'll tax the out of your R/R and likely burn it up. and vice'versa...In short, you have X amount of available power of coming from the AC of the stator, and Y amount coming from the DC side... Over tax either, and you'll burn up said component. In the case of this particular stator is doesn't matter ONLY because it has enough power for most scooter applications running from the AC or DC power output of this setup....
--------------------------------- When Bashan chimed in, he seemed rather confrontational and I'm not on here to argue with anyone. He seems like a pretty a cool guy and rather than get in a pissing match, I thought I would "just let it ride"...
But the reason I didn't post this link in that thread was specifically to avoid affronting anyone who was offering a similar product. BTW, BuggyDepot offers the adapter cables free with purchase, do you?
NO and for good reason too . So you got this whole thing together already ? John
