Well guys, the parts came in and the weather was nice enough for me to tackle the starter drive installation. Only issue I had doing the disassembly was with the rear swing arm and the spindle, so I went up to the newly opened Harbor Freight and got a 3 jaw bearing puller, and finally got it separated. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, I measured my bolts and marked that measurement on the corresponding hole on the crankcase cover so I wouldn't get any mixed when reassembling the cover. Well as suspected the starter drive was shot, installed the new one, put everything back together fine. When it came time to change out stator, I found out the one shipped to me has a smaller connector than what I have on my scoot, so I'll be returning that one, but anyway finally got everything together and pushed start button and she fired right up. I would just like to say thanks to all the guys that participate and share their experiences here, it has helped me to appreciate my little 150 a little more and I also like being able to take care of those little problems that might arise from time to time. Thanx , I enjoyed your post for a few reasons. You followed up, took your time and tackled the problem and most of all you got it put back together and fixed the problem. Its nice to read a post like this my only wish is that it happen more often. John

I'm surprised John just didn't have your posts deleted and removed because he doesn't like what your saying. He had a posting of mine deleted where I did the same thing john is doing here, but not even to the acrimonious degree he's doing it. There was a listing where another forum member was recommending scrappy parts and the member couldn't get the link to work. Instead of John helping out with that, or adding anything of value, he just interjected a link to his own site. I made a comedic statement about it, and he deleted it, twice, then said that this forum doesn't allow that kind of behavior. John, if you're going to enforce those kinds of rules, you should live them too. BTW, looked like Dmartin was actually giving you a compliment and showing how much better your deal was over two others he was looking at. As far as the cyber monday deal, giving such a big discount to me shows he's been way overcharging before, and will continue to do so after the sale. I prefer a vendor that just gives the best price up front all the time and doesn't play the sales game. I think walmart's original business model was based on that JR, Doug, JerryScript, skuttadawg, JoeyBee, earlwb, dmartin95 cato Put the spoon away John

It's nuts just how many electrical issues this thing runs into... You have not seen anything yet. John

Remove all of your switches, spray them with wd40 and work them a thousand times each. Get the run off clean. I would also check the harness for a rub spot on the frame.

crawdaddy take 4 wires strip them put them all together. Install alligator clips on the other ends. Connect to the following negative battery, frame, engine, and green terminal of the coil. See if it will run/spark. The 50vac and .7vac are good readings. Just to be devils advocate could you have mixed up the pulse and power connections (I have done that a few times). John

Do you know what stator you have 6 8 or 11? I look for output voltage over resistance when testing. Are you testing ac voltage?

You guys knock the orange cdi, that is a work horse. I'm not sure where you get them from. The ones I have are work horses. As far as the Casoli's go they don't all have the same timing curve.
