Thanks folks and I've made changes again by adding and deleting some more smileys in the extra smiley box. I made my own choices since none have came forward and made suggestions. Now don't get upset if a smiley was changed and by that I mean these are put in by means of a link and code and if you one day put in this smiley on one of your post and I changed this one in the list then it will change everywhere in the system where you placed it. So let's hope you didn't put this one in agreeing with something: and then you look later and go what in the world because it changed to this: . I'll leave them alone now for awhile. JR

This is a place for members to talk about experiences, ask questions, or make general comments about any dealings they may have had with any experience involving their scooter. This is not a place to discuss pricing with a dealer, parts vendor or anyone connected with buying or selling scooter related items. Should someone ask specifically about pricing, availability, etc. any member that is in sales of any kind is welcome to tell a member I may can help PM me.Comments about a member's experience good or bad are very welcome but lets not turn it into a flame war, be brief and at the same time descriptive about your experience. Should the experience be with a dealer/vendor here that wasn't favorable then by all means that vendor/dealer can/should respond and if the experience wasn't favorable we recommend correspondence via PM. Lastly we encourage members to write a review on their buying experiences in the new section for reviews. This will help other members look at the over all buying experience and see if they want to consider doing business with a dealer/vendor too. itistheride.boards.net/index.cgi?board=rprJR

i think the people here who can really give good scooter advices are... Edfr(a.k.a. lefty,or alleyoop). That may be true he definitely knows his stuff, isn't it a little creepy that he needs three log ins. Sorry not sure how we as a forum can support purposeful deceit and then ask newbies to assume their "great" advice is always truthful. I hope the administration works hard to keep everyone down to 1 name and people who have been shown the door, on the right side of the door. Allowing and even supporting, condoning (by the administration), or say making them "founding members" does nothing to support the sense of community the vision of this forum shoots for (IMO not my forum of course so I don't really know) Anyway I say this with no animosity just a little advice. I'm all for second chances but not the promotion officially of these members once banned (certainly they were banned for good reason)... It can be a turn off to some who have been offended by them. Ok rant over... I have no ego in this so delete this if you feel it should be Jr or Doug Doug and I don't delete things unless it is disrespectful, insulting or against Itistheride'es rules and of course Proboards rules. Your opinion wasn't any of the above. But as one who at one time for reasons I won't discuss wasn't a member at the old forum I can relate to a lot of things everyone here as said and can see both sides of the coin. It doesn't matter where you are at forum wise there is no place that totally suits all, it's that way in life. What one hopes for is a happy medium where all can be a part of the forum. When all of the forum problems started a few weeks ago and I got up one morning and saw what had happened I knew from just seeing things that Doug knew nothing of what had happened. I still had his number and I called him. It had been a long time since we talked and he for sure didn't expect to hear from me and as I suspected he didn't know about what happened to Scootdawg. After a brief conversation he went and found out himself what had happened, he called me back and the rest is history and here we are. Doug has looked back at a lot of people that were/are on dawg and we both left this new site that is the new place of Dawg open to all except a handful in the last days of the old forum that IMO were just bent on self-destructing and were not allowed to join here. So with all that said it's time to leave the what was and what or who did this and did that behind. Should anyone want to act in a way that doesn't follow the rules and doesn't get along here at the new site then their actions here will dealt with and not any actions of what was/is in the past. It's like I said on my last words on the old forum, it's a new beginning, It Is The Ride. JR

You can run this R/R with this stator set up but going to have to use a battery. This is a 5-pin R/R and the black wire does only one thing, read voltage and tells the regulator side of the R/R to either send more voltage to the battery if it's weak or the scooter needs more charging volts. With no battery it is telling the R/R to charge at it's max output thus burning things up and will also burn up itself if ran wide open all the time. If you want to run with no battery then your best bet is to go to a 4-pin R/R and install this: bat-pac.com/index.htmThis takes the place of the battery. Even if you decide to just use a dead battery I would in that case still change to a 4-pin R/R. JR

Not possible with this form of proboards, I can check their code database to see if it can be done. We can move them below the banner and if that would be easier then that's a easy fix.

I'll have to see on that one Scootnwinn? Where the banner code goes in sometimes can be a little finicky but that is a good idea. I know the banner is not what you're used to but when Doug asked Leo to create it we wanted the theme and background to be more detailed than the Scootdawg banner and Leo wonderfully made this.
When more detail is added more size is needed. I'm used to it because I have a large banner at my site. Shrinking the banner is a two way street, can't make it longer without making it taller and vise versa. If you do one without the other then the banner is distorted. The original Leo created was actually bigger than this.
What is going to help soon is the removal of the google ads above it. Doug and I are trying to get this accomplished and may even consider a donation thing to the google ad fund if members so desire. By removing them it would make things smaller and that helps the cause too.

I should also note when I was checking the key switch for continuity I checked the kill switch too with the key in the on position and it didn't affect the continuity between these two, which logically I would think it should/would. On this scooter the key switch and engine kill switch are separate and both need to be tested, one can be bad while the other is good and the scooter will not have spark. JR

Instead of pics or icons that are supposed to display on the home page and posts I get a small blue square with a ? In it. I do not have this problem with other forums. (Scoot doc) (scooter professor). Any ideas? What are you using? W7 or W8? Delete your browsing history and make sure your system is updated. JR
