I started to hear a slight grinding sound a couple weeks ago. Then checked the rotor for grooves. The rotor was worn just a bit. Like yours, they are difficult to see on the bike. But, yes, I was able to see they were thin..... ,

All finished...used the last resort. Very easy, came out smooth and even. Only took a few minutes.
Thanks,

Before continuing the finagling.....what is this rubber piece. It doesn't feel like it wants to come out, and don't want to force it, but goes all the way through the caliper....?

Yes, have some during break down and removal. Gonna try and finagle things around a bit. I've known you since the previous board. You seem to think they'll fit, and this is my first scooter brake job. So, I'll give it a try...if need be I'll post some pics.
I did call a well known brake shop asking about shaving them down a mm or so. Said he's used a belt sander.....sounds feasible....that would be my last resort though. lol

Yes, used a C-clamp, gently. I am flushing the whole line out also, original fluid was dark,...running clear now. Went with Valvoline Synth.

Yes,...I'm changing out my front brake pads today...Everything is going fine until reinstalling the caliper. There is not enough clearance for the rotor....?
Any suggestions,..the pads are a little too thick...only a bit away from clearing...?
Thanks...

Anyway, if it keeps you happy, but in the mean time you may have the appearance of a bum, which found a scooter, and is doing a part time job to get money for crack (or something), lol! Anyway, cans are easier to spot, than dimes. lolol

Noticed that the other day when he was posting on a thread of mine,...there one minute....gone the next. Figured it was a forum error or something.

[replyingto=spandy24]spandy24[/replyingto]Okay,....I'll throw out my idea...and wait for other takers. Old battery reading 12.5, new battery...[12.5], solenoid is working. I feel the starter is trying to pull too much power to turn over, thus causing an excessive draw on the battery... now blowing fuses. Have the starter checked at Autozone or some place. It doesn't cost any thing to try,...just your time. That's my two cents. If I'm correct, then I'm learning also. Good luck.

Is it unusual to have a narrower tire on the front than the rear. I'm kind of looking at Shinko: Front 120/70/13....Rear 140/60/13...or stick to F/R 130/60/13. Will be ordering early this week, once I figure out some of the best configurations. Brandwise....Shinko, Kenda, Avon.....

I' needing new tires, but have seen many of the major brands produce Front and Rear tires of the same model. What is the purpose of this. My stock tires are 130/60/13. I'm in the market for new tires now. I've seen a set of Shinko tires from Motorcycle Superstore: goo.gl/7zkSxFront......SR567F-120/70/13 Rear.......SR568R-130/60/13 or SR568R-140/60/13 What does the front/rear designation and sizes have to do with? Thanks in advance
