Can you cut a big chunk out of a thread from another forum and paste it into a new thread on this forum?

Yeah I do it all the time and most likely when you past it the link of the site source goes with it.

Sharing info is ok . I read where Scrappy said some other scooter vendors stole their info which is not cool but it is for nonprofits to share

I asked because the old Scootdawg forum had a great cross reference and source list as a thread. I needs to be cleaned up a bit but I would hate to see all that info lost.

I prefer to post a link to info rather than copy and paste it

Proboards did make an issue out of hard-copying multi-threads to another forum (see sd net). When you can copy the info, paste it in a word browser, clean it up a bit (remove unnecessary garbage), and correct spelling, you might be able to get away with it. Otherwise keep it to a quote, or a post, but not entire threads...
