Has anyone opened the speedometer/odometer gauge on their scoots. Mine has a lot of lines on the face which makes it hard to read when in motion. I was thinking about taking the top glass/plastic cover off and covering up some of the lines with thin strips of white electricians tape or maybe "white out" may work as well. Since the face on the gauge is white it should work. Is it possible to open these things up or are they sealed? I've attached a picture of a stock 50cc speedometer/odometer. Mine is a 150cc but looks identical except the numbers are obviously different.

I topped up tank the first week of November '13 with my usual SHELL 91 octane. Should I drain that gas and refill with new stuff or just use it. It looks like the weather will cooperate and I could start riding in the next couple of weeks. The bike starts fine, I run it for a 20mins once every couple of weeks during winter.

Can a high performance exhaust be added without modifying anything else.

Tire size

my 2012 gy6 150 has 120/70-12 tires front/rear. I need to change tires soon, can I go with any other size tires and what about handling issues - pros/cons. Was thinking about 130/70-12 for both front/rear.

Good idea on the flash light. I will be adding one to my list. I usually only ride in daylight but If I had to adjust anything in the dark engine bay it would surely help.

I carry: Rain pants. Caught in sudden rain shower. Extra large rubber gloves. Pick them up any dollar store, great to keeps leather gloves (Which I always wear) dry. cheap cable lock. In case I have to lock my helmet to my bike. helmet doesn't fit under seat or top box. basic tools. crescent wrench, vise grip pliers, flat blade + Philips screwdriver. electrical tape, zip ties. small towel.

The SSR 150cc Scooter Type GENSEN-CA is a znen Chinese scooter. Check out this link, it's the same scooter. www.sagacanada.ca/deluxe-50cc-150cc-scooter-fe.aspThere are some of these 150 scooters on the roads here. Also if you have a look my earlier post there one of these in the bunch. Probably one of the better built Chinese scooters.

I have a Chinese 150cc GY6 scooter. Here in Canada it's called a SAGA. It seems to be a popular scooter in other parts for the world, also known as a "Razzo Venice", "BMS V9 EVO", "Lance Milan". I'm trying to find a chrome rear rack. The one I have is painted and not retro looking at all. If anyone knows where I could find such a rack, please let me know. This is what I have now This is a close-up of the rear rack that is on my scooter, showing the bolt holes I'm searching for the chrome rear rack as seen in the following pictures. For the most part, the Scooter looks exactly the same as my scooter. I have emailed the scooter suppliers, but all of these scooters appear to be in Belgium and France. Have not received replies from any of the vendors. Thanks
