Yes the video is complete staged poop in my eyes, I rode street bikes for a long time and the front forks do not even move when he launches, also he is not revved up and he started in first gear.
Launch the bike in 2nd, its a 1000. Next you are stock forked and that bike always separates over 2" on any launch. and really you went less then a 8th mile and where already stopped.....
I am interested in the electric Harley, not that I would ever buy it but come on has to be interesting to see a big heavy pull up not making a sound, less the whining that comes from the motor....

Ahh how I love this board, being I am not smart when it comes to my ride, the answers are a click away. So I have now be entitled with a wonderful job of reviewing training procedures for joint ops training. It's a honor to be a civilian contractor back in the game, and to be able to take life experience and help shape training programs that will fine tune the skills of today spec op soldiers. All that being said here is the deal. I drove my car up to Camp P for the first week, watched movies the whole way Now, it was nice but man gas prices when you have a majesty sitting in the garage just didn't seem right. So I loaded the ol iphone with audio books and gym cloths and off I go. First week was a little sketchy but now I am one handed up and down the freeway. ( I love in San Diego we have the best carpool lanes that are free for motorcycles) Now, here is where I would like some advice, from mechanics and those whom just love to ride and have some knowledge. Oil changes.....how many miles on a Yamaha 400? I understand the principle but when all your riding is freeway does that make a difference like a car? Spark plug, how often? Yes I have the iridium NKG. Lights, I have H4 car style ones, is this something to change over a short period being they are on all the time? (I am not looking for the when it goes out change it response, but if there is a proper time frame recommended) Battery Tender Jr, I have one and its very easy to plug in every night and I do when I get home. Is this smart? Can it harm the battery? Wheel balancing, can they lose the balance that was placed with weight? Just take into a tire shop? Brakes, I can tell I need to look into my brakes and replace them, any recommendations? Is there a specific one that lasts longer, I am sure there is cost there. Thank you guys/ladys for all your help!

Jut my .02:
Even if your state dosnt require insurance at 50cc, I would carry min liability, accidents do happen. Also the other thing is how much it costs to replace the scooter if it was stolen. Those are easy to take and depending on where the school is may be something to worry about.
Congrats on the kid to school though! Good luck and welcome to the board

It's a wonderful experience. Lots to see and witness, but its also a place where you need to keep your eyes open at all times due to the amount of alcohol and such.
The other thing, it's not just the ride there, its all the riding once you get there. I'd say go and enjoy the experience

Flatland2d,
The large trunk on mine appears on eBay under numerous "brands"... From $79 to around $400 if it is "branded" Harley Davidson, or Honda... LOL! I went with the $79 version! It IS Chinese, but of EXCELLENT quality. Just proves again that China will provide ANY level of quality you're willing to pay for... It comes with a nice, built-in LED light in the lid, but I did the full "Christmas tree" lighting behind the monster fake wrap-around light as well as strip amber turn-signals. It's VERY easy with modern thin LED's. I did place a trailer-plug into the wiring pigtail so the lights could be disconnected, as the trunk can be removed. It uses a "mono-key" style disconnect.
Here's how it looks at night. I took pix for a thread on illuminating a trunk...
As for the hard saddlebags you found, they ARE a NICE addition! And can be painted to match your scooter, or flat-black to match the seat, or whatever look you like. Also, the fiberglass or ABS construction makes it super-easy to illuminate them if you like. LED's are the greatest invention for low-drain extra lighting on vehicles since the sun... LOL!
I would check with JR. His scoot sports bags much like those you like. They WILL require some kind of mounts to be fabricated though. Shouldn't be too hard.
Whatever trunk, or "top-box" you use, I highly recommend plenty of illumination. I did that with the trunk on my old 150 too. Having tail-light, stop-light and turn-signals up at car "windshield-level" can save your life! A large trunk virtually hides your factory rear-lights from a vehicle "tailgating" you, ESPECIALLY a tall SUV or truck.
Ride safe, and keep it lit-up!

Would that work for a majesty
