Yep it is the honest Joe's that work and pay taxes along with medical bills that offsett the cost of scraping up whats left of uninsured free spirits off the road and paying for everything from the ambulance/fire crew, roadway cleanup, police presence and even the burials. Unlike some foriegn countries hospitals in the USA have to treat emergencies even if ability to pay can not be established. We all pay in the end for these me-first bums who only care for their own desires and moments pleasure with total disregard for others. Most times no matter what you are doing there is some ripple effect that impacts other people either in a positive or negative manner. You would be surpised how many free spirits here in Florida don't realise that niether their Motorcycle PIP or General Health Policy cover riding without a helmet or some minimum amount of safety gear such as DOT helmet, motorcycle jacket, long pants, over the ankle boots and motorcycle gloves. When they wreck they are in effect putting their hand in my wallet to pay for it. $1,300 is not realistic amount today for emergency room treatment after a motorcycle wreck, you will more likely need to add at least another zero and multiply that amount anywhere from 2 to 5 times. A friend got bumped off his bike in a low speed incident and it was a full month in intensive care, half of that in an induced coma. He did not get run over or directly hit either. He only had a 3/4 helmet, short sleeves, long pants and sneakers. He then spent a few more months in the hospital and then 6 more in hospice and now after several months at home is barely walking again. He was lucky as the other parties insurance covered him since they were at-fault otherwise it was well over a $100,000 bill that someone would have had to pay. I can see your point cause you live in the state were talking about But like I asked Jarlaxle please show me the Math on how you pay for what happens in Fla. when you live at least 1000 miles away...as fore your last statement & I Quoit Irresponsible people should be left to bleed out in the gutter. Not sure I have EVER seen a hospital that didn't get federal money...which means yes, I pay! So am I: I am the first to say that I am sick and tired of paying for irresponsible idiots. Irresponsibility should have consequences. Stupidity should be painful. Let them bleed out in the gutter.

It does...since I pay TAXES to support the irresponsible! Really What Have YOU Been Smoking??? PLEASE Share with the class. Kool-Aid OHHH YAAA OMG Help I C-A-N-'T B-R-E-A-T-H!!!! Public schools don't You love it??? In Fla. I don't think so. Please Show Your Math so the rest of class can follow. What if the same Guy gets attacked by a shark while Do your taxes pay for to? Kind of absurd Don't you think??? Dave A wall of stupid gifs doesn't make your post accurate, only infantile and annoying. When someone ends up needing $500,000 worth of medical care he cannot pay for, guess who pays? That's right: the taxpayers! State and Federal, tax dollars pay for it! Irresponsible people should be left to bleed out in the gutter.

Have the shoulder X-rayed! You may have a small fracture and not know it...if so, you DO want to know before you try to do something strenuous (like, say, fix a scooter) and it snaps!

Anyone riding with no helmet should be required to have at leadt a $500,000 medical policy before doing so. Anyone without said policy should, if suffering a head injury, be left to bleed out. You want to ride stupid, go for it...but pay your own medical bills!
