Great write-up steve, good advice, should help those who are apprehensive about installing a BBK. Oh, I almost forgot. Be gentle putting the rings on the cylinder. Don't even think about picking up those needle nose pliers! They break easy. Trust me. A good trick for installing the rings is to use a hose clamp. Tighten it to compress the rings, then tap the piston into the cylinder.

If you can get them to contact buford1488, he might be willing to share some of his secrets. He has the most experience hand porting gy6 heads on a flow tester. AFAIK, he hung up his toolbelt last year, wish I had gotten a head ported by him!

You'll probably be fine so long as the header pipe is attached. You should get it welded back on asap, otherwise it may cause issues later, and effect performance.

The Kymco 200 is the same design as the ZN150T-18, just with different body panels. I'm loving mine, and I had the same desires mentioned by the OP when I was searching for it, a bit more speed but mainly a smoother ride!

I agree, looks like you are going to have to pull the head at least. Hopefully it's just the head gasket, otherwise you will need to check the rings, and re-hone the cylinder if it's not damaged.

@dmartin did you get before and after numbers, such as RPMs at low, cruising, and high speeds, and of course during acceleration? Was it a significant enough difference to need to change the CVT weights or springs? Do you mostly get more torque, mid-range acceleration, or top end?
I plan on upgrading my 150cc one component at a time, including BBK, head, intake and exhaust, and sliders to dial it all in. I'm thinking of doing just the 4 valve head first, with uni intake and some exhaust modifications, then do the BBK later, and tune the CVT with sliders each time if necessary.

We are legit and we have been in business for over 12 years. The google maps was not showing the building because at the time it was a new building and google was showing an old image. If you check now it should show the building. We have an A+ rating on the BBB web site. How many scooter companies can you say that for after selling on line for over 12 years? Also try to find a bad review and you will find not many, if any at all.. We can only offer limited tech support since it is very costly to be on the phone with one customers for 30 minutes, while the phones keep ringing with other customers.. With any Chinese part we always recommend you give us specs or pictures, because in some cases there could be other versions.. Since with most Chinese scooters there are no manufactures part numbers it becomes very difficult to know all fitments.. But that's just the nature of the Chinese scooter biz.. Always good to see dealers who post in forums! I like seeing the interaction with customers, and everyone here appreciates your knowledge and input. Thanks for posting!

Looks very similar to my Zhen ZN150T-18, the blue 150cc with 16" wheels in my pics below. It does handle much more like a motorcycle than a sfcooter, at least compared to my Zhen Q50 with 10" wheels.
I have not seen the body style you posted with the lack of floorboard area.

I usually don't worry about breaking plastic, a dab of epoxy fixes most breaks, a bit of fiberglass for mounting points.
I've blown more than one fuse with my HF emergency impact wrench, and after reading your issues with the directional switch, makes me wonder if the act of switching is blowing the fuse due to this shoddy switch construction. It always works a bit before blowing a fuse, so I think I'll unplug it before switching directions from now on.

Just hit 2k on my 150, time to change the gear oil, and I always do the engine oil at the same time. Washed off the rain dirt from the past week, and put on a fresh coat of spray ice wax.

Can you post a pic of the tube? If you can get a pic or vid of the smoke, that would help to.

I've been lucky enough to run out of gas at the top of a hill, just coasted down to a service station at the bottom.
