I'd love to do more. Unfortunately when we bought our house, we were both serving and didn't have time to take on a project so we bought a new-build. There's some jobs I've done, basics really, curtain rails, picture hanging etc. the closest to real DIY so far has been tiling behind the cooker. I've got a bathroom to tile this winter though (why do they give you an en-suite with a shower, and a main bathroom, with a bath and shower head in it, but not tile the whole wall, or put a shower curtain up, etc?!) so guests don't have to choose between using our shower, or waiting 9 years for the bath to fill.
With the garden, I love doing the work, but can't get motivated unless I get something physical out of it. So I just have my (gorgeous) lawn, and all the plants are crops: I've got carrots, broccoli and marrow out at the moment, with kale growing in pots in the green "hut" (it's just one of those little plastic temporary green houses) and tomatoes, onions and cauliflower just gone in as seeds in cultivators. Cause we had such a crap spring, I actually lost an entire batch of chillis, and will probably need to Polly-Tunnel a lot of stuff come Autumn.

I smoked for about ten years, various brands, mostly old school camels and Marlboro. I quit for fertility reasons, and stayed quit for my wife and son.
After the first two weeks, you'll wonder what all the fuss was about with quitting.
I think everyone should have at least one vice, and mine is a pack of ten Marlboro Lights if I/we have a night out.
I'm thinking of keeping a pack in the scoot, for those, "Sat at the side of the A614 again, waiting for the recovery truck because Chinese scooters are a piece of junk" days though.

Cheers guys. Just wanted to know if it were possible. I got recovered to my garage (I was at the side of the road when I posted! Lol), so as long as they've got the kit it should be ok. I should be able get away with minimal payment also, as I think it was them that damaged the thread to start with.

My spark plug has come out twice this week, both times with "deposits" in the threads. I think the threads in the port may have died.
Has anyone managed to fit a heli-coil in there, or other thread repair system?

I've been using the app since the start. It's ok. It doesn't like low signal at all and will crash like a little girl.
On the iPhone version (don't know about android) you have camera, camera roll and (I think) twitter icons at the bottom of the "reply to topic" screen, as well as an advanced options tag for things like image links from externally hosted pics.
Not seeing sigs isn't usually a problem, depending on people's posting style, but you do end up with conversions like this some times: Post one: "I got 130mpg today!" Post two: "On what?" Post three: "It's in my sig." Post four: "That's great, you'll still have to tell me what it is."
You get used to it. It's not the best forum app, but then proboards isn't the best forum format IMHO. I much prefer the vBullitin style. I think this is the only forum I use that isn't in that format.

Like the ones Ian got. I like those. Much better than any (all) of the photo girls. I agree with you. I like the old painted nose art, pin up style ladies. I won't say that the photos of ladies aren't art, but there's an "inappropriateness" to them that I don't like, especially for displaying on my scoot! Lol. I just think the whole, pinup, burlesque stuff is so much more sexy, whilst being so much more accessible and available because you're not worrying about "young eyes" seeing anything they shouldn't. Go on, admit it! There's always a special place in my heart for girls who like girls Ian

Can I blame this forum for waisting money while I'm up for the 3am feed? Just bought some "nose art" for the scoot purely because of this thread. Who should I send the bill to? Lol. I was thinking one on the nose, one on the tail, one either side of my helmet? Ian Attachments:

A life even one of a lowlife thief is precious and can never be replaced I And that's the reason I want to volunteer with the White Knight Blood Riders instead of training as a biker paramedic or similar. I just can't look past the fact that the world would probably be a better place if scum bag thieves that wrap stolen cars etc around trees, weren't offered help. I want to help the community and continue to be of service, but probably the less I know about the patient the better............. Ian

They've been kept in. She had to have some stitches done in theatre, nothing major. So mum and baby are still in hospital. But she's already up and about, everything's fine. But I got to have an hour or so on the scoot, in the sunshine, stretching its legs on some 60mph roads, and hammering the acceleration in the city streets. AND I got to see my baby boy, AND I get to ride home again tonight! Top that! Jealous, much? Lol Ian

First one. Reduced me to an emotional heap the first time he was placed in my arms. Looking forward to scooting down the hospital tomorrow and spending the day with him and his mum.

I think it's the same with helmets, seat belts and mobile phones.
When they brought in the helmet law (talking UK), there were people up in arms, protesting, refusing to wear them. Now, people just accept that they MUST wear a helmet, and no one complains because they accept the reason why. Now it's only some real idiots, usually kids on stolen bikes, that caught without them.
When they brought in the seatbelt laws, people who didn't usually wear them kept getting caught. Now it's just something everyone does when they get into a car, and its only a few real idiots that get caught without them.
When they started really jumping up and down on drink drivers (in the UK they breath test you every time they pull you over now), pele would have "one or two" if they were driving, and get caught out. Now it's generally only the hard core alcoholics that get caught.
They brought in the phone laws relatively recently, so people still think they can get away with it. There's nothing worse than watching some one swerving away down the road while they try and text.
But like you say, the punishment for drink drivers, and phone users for that matter, just aren't tough enough.
Don't wear a seatbelt, or helmet? It's you that dies. Drive drunk, or on the phone? It's other people that get hurt. But here they have the same punishment. Stupid.
