Agree with Geo... Had 2 smokers in the past, and always had problems with the oil pump failing. Not fun to replace a top end because of a little pump -.-

Well, if it's meant to be tucked up, when it's down, the gears may be hitting the variator, tuck it back up... and take a look inside for damage.

No no, it didn't come from them, it's a stock carb, with a Main in it, EDIT: The only thing that came from scrappy is the Gears.

I've had issues with cheap oil in my past 2 smokers, make sure you let it warm up before you even touch the throttle, for sure, and keep using that "synthetic" stuff, your engine seems to like it

So, a customer brought in his scooter a few days ago (actually a member on here too) He wanted to do the Scrappy Dog gears and a BBK. So I took it in, and what shoulda been a 1-2 day job, turned out to be a nearly 4-5 day job. Got the kit installed, new clutch, new carb, and has the gears. It's also got a straight pipe, (muffler broke off). I set the timing, adjusted valves, carb has a MAIN, new spark plug, etc.... Still can't get it to start, I only get the occasional *pop* from the exhaust when cranking it over WOT and choking it

Can you post a pic of your TIMING MARKS --- pop the valve cover off, and take a pic of the T and the 2 dots lined up -correctly- Video works well too, show us
