Well some stators do produce AC power while others produce DC power which is what I too would like to do. However I think both of your scooters are AC. Does it keep running if you unhook the battery? Then it's probably AC.

Did you try and measure it? The speedo cable on mine fell out for a day in which I drove 40 miles.

It comes with two little aluminum weld bars but they are not under the muffler where they could mount on this one. They are above on top like shown in the picture.

[replyingto=jeepsteve92xj]jeepsteve92xj[/replyingto]Wait please explain. By head you mean where the end of my exhaust pipe connects to the head and hot air comes out?
It's connected to the two brackets that you called the broken ear on your engine. That ear, and the one below it. The only thing that's not connected is the muffle to the back part of the rear wheel and I'm not sure how to do it with those new brackets…
Please tell me about the spacers! I just security it TIGHT to that plate, i did NOT put any spacers in there, and not sure I understand what spacers I should do. It didn't feel like it bent the muffler brackets or anything. Let me know if I should take it off and do this.

[replyingto=millsc]millsc[/replyingto]Well muffler is secure, no longer loud and forks fixed. Here's my small list of things that need attention:
* Put back on panel below right footrest (I have it, popped out when fork was bad)
* Seat lock is crap and doesn't work, so I have seat bolt off right now, Replace all the locks in the vehicle seems like my only fix :-( (What's the right ones for my taotao 150cc)
*Figure out how to adjust headlight position.
* Install all LED lighting
* Install light battery + upgraded electrical system so I can put a USB charging station and speakers in the seat area. * Paint it a creaming white color, and build side panels to make the ride look custom :-)
* Take apart speedo and either put new graphics inside, or figure out if I can just buy a better looking one.
But right now it runs fantastic.

[replyingto=jeepsteve92xj]jeepsteve92xj[/replyingto]Your fix was hardcore. That's the motor right, not the head? So if that broke I'd have to buy a new motor hehe

[replyingto=pmatulew]pmatulew[/replyingto]The JB Weld on exhaust studs held for about 40 miles. Then it got loud. Stud fell out, so I ended up reading elsewhere on the internet from a guy who said his broke on a long trip. He went to hardware store got a similar sized American bolt, that was course thread and screwed it up there tight. This worked like a charm. Though I'm guess I'm going to have to thread them both 8mm later this week if I want to put my new "performance" gaskets up there.

So that part you called the broken ear in this photo Is the part I had a bolt snapped off in. I tried to remove it, but ended up just roughly drilling it out with a hand drill last week. I just slide a similar size bolt in there, and put a nut on the end :-D Hope that's fine.

On mine that vibration sound was the OUTSIDE plate on the muffler. That little thing was vibrating as the screws came loose but also as it got hot it let the metal become softer and just rattle a little. Try tightening them when the bike is hot? Great photos by the way.
It might be that little arm thing UNDER your muffler, is it still welded tight? Look under the arm under your muffler.

[replyingto=jeepsteve92xj]jeepsteve92xj[/replyingto]Swing Arm! That's what it's called. Your Photos are great by the way. On the back of the original stock muffler, the swing arm back by the rear tire had a bolt and two little pieces of metal that seemed to be welded to the muffler. Now my new muffler is very secure, however and it's a replacement stock but it doesn't quiet have that. Do I need to find some way to weld a metal strip on? Take a look. The muffler is on really tight and doesn't have any "play" in it, but only secured by the front two bolts. The previous muffler was also secured on a stud coming out of center tire lug nut.

[replyingto=salracer]sailracer[/replyingto]You mean 10mm (m10) for those two bolts in the back right? Not my exhaust studs? I did put m8 in the bottom one (it screwed tight) and m8 up top as a "loose" bolt through it with a nut on the end.

Here's my new muffler: I'm getting ready to start on some crazy mods to make this thing not look so ugly.
