thanks im back from the keys and while there had to replace the kickstart, intake, rear valve stem, and a connection but still got to ride out to key west once everything was said and done. as far as checking the vvalve adjustment i neglected to do that at all since i got this motor ill have to check that out once the rain stops

with choke in the off position i removed the whole choke body off the carb its not leaking any air past so unfortunatly yes its working but too good. now i know i can take the brass cap off and the other screw i usually leave about 2.5 turns out and i know these are air fuel screws but what are they each exactly doing?maybe that could be tweaked to get my mpgs looking good? i have theories but looking for a second opinion so i can better prepare my self with some tools and spare parts before i drive down to the bikes

what size dirt bike tire/hub in comparison to the scooter tire ? also how do your brakes work front drum or disk ? now most importantly (besides pics)do you feel you have the tools/skills scary to adapt it if it doesn't just bolt right up?anything can be connected if you have the right tools. i feel wrong saying it but someone with skills isn't even necessary anymore with the Internet and practice...good luck let me know what you decide i like doing what most wouldn't want to attempt, keeps me out of trouble.

ok so since the identity of my bike was stolen a week ago i have swapped my motor into a different frame rewired it painted my tripple tree and got it registered. i took it on my first ride 8 miles or so and ran out of fuel. i put 1$ in @ $3.50\g(+\-) so we'll say 1\4 gallon over 8 miles. now that means my mpg is around 32mpg,no good. with that being said i put the bike on its center stand and was looking for a fuel leak couldnt find any however i noticed when i increase the throttle above idle i have a mist of fuel coming out my intake thats not visible but can be felt on the back of my hand and do not know why..i converted my choke to manual jets are stock not sure witch ones but they came with it and my scooter is now in the Fl keys.. tomorrow i plan on riding with some friends to key west and its going to be a 20 mile ride from camp to mile marker zero. i will not be able to without running out of fuel unless i can figure out whats going on before i leave for camp tomorrow morning

[replyingto=birddog]birddog[/replyingto]i really like it do you have a thread started for it? so far ive hit every road block immaginable i just had to start a whole new scooter tonight because my scoots had its identity stolen and im going to the keys in a week and need a scoot. i get my tags tomorrow i just put the engine in tonight the wire harness is only a handfull of things im figuring out where to boly up the hard part is going to be the in frame wire tuck and finding a bandsaw to cut the diamond plate out with...i think i got a welder lined up for the weekend and if not i didnt need them parts in the keys anyway ;Dmy biggest question is how you made your tank cause i seriously was considering it like it was my plan then i saw this bottle before i came across a extinguisher

as far as the big cap your running idk i just used a simple small 2200~ 35V capacitor cost me like 2$.. the 2 wires with bullet connectors coming out of the stator run direct to my cdi and coil for the bike running side of the electrical. the yellow white and green wire are all used for lighting with a regulator and and capacitor in place as a battery only to absorb extra voltage from the stator. without this cap i couldnt power my leds or keep my regulators/headlights from frying. now i have lights and my bike fires great 1st or second kick..as far as not being able to kickstart ..yes they can break any kickstart can however in my experience ive been kickstarting my scoot since it was in a frame and all my previous scooters have been kickstart as well...for some reason all the batterys i was buying at 50-60$ a piece were crap in no time i couldnt afford one and didnt really mind kickin it and it didnt mind being kicked ..

[replyingto=teddy554]teddy554[/replyingto]yea the only thing i could have done to better protect myself was run the vin before i purchased it then i could have seen the vehicle exists however the name of the current owner and the owner on my title didnt match..my best guess on what has happened is someone in nv had a vin almost exact as mine with lets say a 6 where i have an 8. they most likley had a lien on there scooter or something stopping them from selling or re registering the bike and then changed that 6 to an 8 and convinced the dmv they made a mistake. now i have the same vin as there alleged vin and dont know how i can prove mines the original..these are all just guesses though. the factcs i have are i hired a tag man ive done alot of buisness with to go register my bike while i was at work its his profession and he does it all day. he went there and was told the title was turned in in nv and its registered to a green scooter. he then came to me took pictures of my vin and went back to the registry with a title all filled out and the photos of my vin and was turned away due to the fact nv has my vin registered to a green scooter already

So my scooter has had its identity stolen by some guy im going to assume is a dick because i said so. I purchased a scooter completly stock, the vin is uniform from the first star to the last , with a title and bill of sale. I then spent countless hours neglecting my girlfriend and obsessing over my scoot only to be ready for paint and a trip to the keys to find out its vin has been registered to a green scooter out of nevada. Im now out some money for the scooter but more importantly my time=( . With no legal recourse or way to ride the streets without big brother stealing my liscense as well ..=((

my first order of busness is to find a 1-1/4" degree fuel filler neck of some sort to attach to the neck of the bottle so i can fuel up without removing the tank to avoid spillage. one i have that i have an excuse to go buy another bottle of that codka so i can cut off the neck and hose clamp it at the top of the new filler neck so i can utilize the same cap/seal...unfortunatly im having a hard time find anything rated for fuel in 1-1/4"

OK i have a scooter junkyard BTW motors frames all kinds of things i wanted to swap my fork tubes out with a different set cause i have a matching front rim for the front with a bigger rim and disk setup however the diameter of the shock tubes is smaller with my current triple tree(?) setup with the holding bolts as tight at possible the fork tubes would fall out i tried swapping triple trees however the neck on my frame is so damn long it couldn't happen so i guess my question is whats holding the bearing seats in welded or pressed could i simply cut it and re-press it to fit?has anybody tried that?
