i i plan on gettin bigger rubber bocks to cut half moons in with some proper stainless clamps..only zip tied to see how well the gravity feed would work/ for pics...also proud of the fact ive got under 150$ into the entire project(assuming my time was worthless)

i do like the setup with all the wire tuck and the battery gone and the gas tank is pretty neat also how did you make a nipple for it

gas tank i bought the bottle obv.. the nipple i took a 1/4" barbed fitting drilled the tank and used a few rachet extensions and a 3/4" socket to put a holding nut washer and gasket(not sure what material however we use them at my work for the heater elements on bunn coffee machines) on the inside of the tank tightened it all down and so far no leaks...the 3/4 socket did however have to be taken to a grinder and slimmed down a bit to fit inside the neck of the bottle

i want to shorten the length of the neck but how could i do that..idk the diameter of the tubing currently used but i honestly want to put some rrgs forks on anyway any suggestions would be appreciated and if you have any questions that could help you give me a better suggestion please by all means ask... labor to me is nothing this is my hobby i sit at work staring at my scooter thinking of what i could do to make this thing awesome and pretty low on cash yet i still find ways to make everything happen.. i have some acquaintances with pipe benders, welders basically anything you need to build race cars and i would pay them for there help...they don't see the point in modifying a scooter cause they build 6 second cars for the strip but at the end of the day if you give me an idea i thinks worth doing i will make it happen...i need to find a pic of this scooter stock so you can see where i started

Aright i not sure if this is possible but you can cut some of stem attached to the fork and the stem cut out thw same amount and reweld the base for the bearings back on and cut the tub from the fram and weld it higher on the stem. also you can raise the shock up in the clamps with out much effort. i posted some pictures because i am not very good at explaining anything typing   |

just to clarify by low on cash i mean i would rather spend my time fabbing and learning how to make something most people would think the only way it could be done is by buying it. things like quality aftermarket forks id purchase. a Honda ruckus with an engine id want to remove and replace and then add a bunch of high priced bolt ons to NO. i have great respect for the guys with some real nice rucks stretched lowered fatty kits all that. that's the I'm into however i cant justify spending that money on bolt ons. this is a learning experience for me and it keeps me out of trouble while giving me something to be seriously proud of.. everyone i work with bashes my scooter cause i started with nothing but the frame and they have nice cars (one being a world record holding pro street mustang)but you know what I'm 21 and they paid people for there cars i put time effort and thought into my scooter and its nicer to me than there store bought bragging rights.. i guess to sum it up nothings too crazy I'm a creative person and after my last 2 years learning about gy6 motors and scooters on the scootdawg forums (i was a lurker) now I'm ready to give back what i can to the community here's my first real posts your reading... let see whats up

OK i have a scooter junkyard BTW motors frames all kinds of things i wanted to swap my fork tubes out with a different set cause i have a matching front rim for the front with a bigger rim and disk setup however the diameter of the shock tubes is smaller with my current triple tree(?) setup with the holding bolts as tight at possible the fork tubes would fall out i tried swapping triple trees however the neck on my frame is so damn long it couldn't happen so i guess my question is whats holding the bearing seats in welded or pressed could i simply cut it and re-press it to fit?has anybody tried that?

not sure about the fork bearings but you need to be careful about your gas tank the cops may give you an open container ticket

You should be able to press the stem out after grinding through the weld on the bottom. ( Harleys have C-clips instead of a weld as a safety measure for the press fit.) You may need to apply heat to the outer piece. I used two pipe clamps and a steel block between them to press out the stem on my harley tree. The end of the tube is tyically machined for an interference fit the bearing race and to provide a stop to keep the race from sliding towards the center of the tube , leave those alone and just cut out a section from the middle of the tube and reweld to shorten it. ( bicycle type neck races and flanged races are designed for use with plain straight tubes.)

my first order of busness is to find a 1-1/4"  degree fuel filler neck of some sort to attach to the neck of the bottle so i can fuel up without removing the tank to avoid spillage. one i have that i have an excuse to go buy another bottle of that codka so i can cut off the neck and hose clamp it at the top of the new filler neck so i can utilize the same cap/seal...unfortunatly im having a hard time find anything rated for fuel in 1-1/4" |

go to a junkyard get a piece off an car or truck filler necks are connected to the tank with a hose on most vehicles

I got mad respect for you bro. I am doing the same thing to mine. Just with a battery. I used a fire extinguisher for the gas tank. This was before paint. I had to out the gas tank where yours is  |
