Found cdi tonight, doesn't look anything like the one in the Chinese repair manual. Do these things really have an rpm limiter in them ? I've never noticed. Has anybody had to change their cdi to a performance one with no rpm limiter?

Check your plug while it's out. A fresh plug might make it pop a little easier.

Doe's anybody know the location of the cdi on a yamati eurostrada rx8. I can't seem to find it. The scooter is like a keeway fact50 or matrix. 50cc 2stroke of course.

I did get the scooter from scooters plus in 2008 when he first opened. Back then he was selling Yamati eurostrada rx8 models. It's like a fact50 or a matrix50. I think Yamati was making scooters for three years 2007-2009.

Adjusted the throttle cable and it did make a difference. More responsive and 2 mph more on speedo. I'm back to a screamer now. Thanks for they advice.

I think if I do go bbk I will do this when I stop riding for the winter. Doe's that Airsal kit need a bigger carb or can I just up jet? When I changed the pipe I up jetted the carb. with a # or jet.

Maybe I will try to adjust the throttle cable then. Doe's it matter what end I start on, the carb side or throttle side? It seems that I have to turn the throttle about a quarter before I can hear the engine come off idle. How do you know that when your throttle is open all the way that your carb. is open all the way?

Are the two nuts by the throttle and two nuts by the carb. adjustments or are they suppose to be screwed all the way in?

I was leaning toward aluminum but you made a good case for steel. I only have just over 1700 miles on her and she runs good and don't want to replace the crank. I do know that at WOT and speed is pretty much topped up I can hear a bit of a fluttering noise that might be my reeds but not sure? I went premix when my injector pump started leaking so I bypassed it. I do seem to use more oil premix than with injection and she smokes more but not to bad and mostly at start up.

I switched to premix when my injector started leaking. If you use synthetic oil you can go 50:1. I keep a gas can of premix at home and just top off before I ride.

That looks like a good kit. I will keep it on my list of things I want for now. I saw a kit made by NCY on scooterpartsplace but it looked more for race and was a $100 more. Reliability is also a factor.
