Anybody know what would cause the low beam of my headlight to stop working? Yes the bulb has been replaced and all other lights work.

There's a 788-17 belt that would be a better fit than the 788-18. 18mm sounds a little wide and would hurt performance. That or the 792-16.6 belt would work and might be the stock size. Also your roller weights will show flat spots when they get old and that will affect your performance as well. A weak torque spring could keep your belt from returning to the outer portion of the rear pulley when back at idle.

Installed bbk from scrappy dogs iron kit. Stock carb. install #98 main jet. Stock exhaust. Sounds ok no load on stand. Drove it around for about 15 to 20 minutes ok. decided to open up throttle a bit got over 40 mph ok. tried again got over 40 mph then just died? Felt like the drive belt broke or like something binding. started right back up and started driving. same thing died. did this several times till I got it home. Pulled cover off trans and everything looked ok. did notice a poof sound through they exhaust when turning motor off. Not a loud back fire but a quiet poof sound. Any idea's on what could be wrong?

I just installed a BBK and am wondering if there's a break-in procedure? Or can I just start ridding as normal.

Could be that. You know the trick about marking the tire and turning one revolution and counting how many times the clutch turns to get the ratio.

Are you using regular or synthetic 2-stroke oil? Are you still holding the throttle open when it growls and stalls or do you let off the throttle then it growls and stalls? You refer to the plug as being black. Is it sooty black or wet black?

When you changed the pipe did you up-jet the carb? You will also need to increase air flow. That might be all you need to do.

Doe's it rev good on the center stand with no load on the rear tire and then is a total dog when you put it on the ground and try to ride? Could be not enough air with the stock air box. You put on a bigger carb, a bigger jet but now may have a restricted air flow with the stock air box. Try an open element air filter for more air flow and see if that helps.

The outcome is the belt came today. If there was some communication when the belt was shipped it would not have led to a dispute with paypal. So the belt came and dispute resolved.

I do have a belt. This one was the same brand and size of the stock belt.(mitsuboshi 16.6x792). Just wanted to see if this one matched up with my stock belt. Different brands of the same size tend to be different sizes. At least it seems to be that way.

I started a dispute with paypal . I ordered a drive belt. I ordered it from them because it was the same brand and size as the original.
