So i have an adly noble 2013. 1Pe40 engine, just slapped on a 70cc bbk to really get the most of my hoca racing 70cc expandion pipe. Has a 19mm carb, main jet that i just put in.(from a 75) Carb is practically still new. Less than 100 miles on it. Idles fine. 4Gram sliders in variator. Kevlar belt. Stock variator and clutch. Running stock airbox. Oil injected Carb needle at lowest point. I can barely get the thing to.move. I tried to play with the a/f screw. Checked plug. Plug is not white, or brown, its almost like a slate/graphite color. But dark. Any input? Just drags. Seems a bit better since i raised the needle, but i.can barely get the thing to move. To get to 20-30mph it takes wayonger than it used to. Could it be too much oil?

If the plug is dark , it is to rich and to rich motors loose a lot of power. Try putting the #75 back in and see if it runs a lot better. Alleyoop

Only worry i have of dropping to the 75, is that it will run way too lean, frying the hours it took me to install in a second. haha. but ill give it a shot.

Your only going to test it out if it runs a lot better then you know you have to drop to like an #80 main jet. Or if you have a #80 drop that in. Alleyoop

Alright. So finally had time to play with the jets. Bought a kit from partsforscooters. 75- wayy to lean. No power. perfect plug, still no increase in speeds. -115 jets, bigs down and stalls regardless of needle positions and a-/f screw. Could the hoca stainless\nickle plated exhaust have a restrictor??? I checked port side, silencer, and silencer port(when i.checked wool packing) for a washer/cone and could not visibly see any restriction. It just makes no sense to me. Head\cylinder install was flawless. No issues. Compression is great.

Also, i now.have to let it warm up, (longer than 2 minutes) in order for it to accelerate fairly smooth. If it is not warm, muffler makes a.brakbrakbrakbrak sound.(best way to.describe) And scooter barely moves.

And that was with a # main jet, to rich to much fuel. Now you say 75- way to LEAN when you said it was slate/graphite color dark with the # . Are you sure your reading the size of the jets right? I mean in one breath your saying the SAME JET IS RICH AND LEAN!! I think you are confused on what is going on. Do you know how to test for rich or lean? Doing Plug Chop testing has to be done right otherwise the plug will change colors within seconds. But as you can see you have a fuel delivery problem with the sound your hearing. Alleyoop

Sorry if im confusing. Haha don't mean to be. I.put a new plug in, and the.color was practically white from 75- is light-medium coffee. I am plug chopping properly. Killing.engine at 1/4 1/2 3/4 WOT. To get proper throttle plug color. Unless that is the wrong way to.do it haha. I believe it was slate color due to old plug marking being burnt off.and due to extra oil in gas (very minimal) i put in to.extra protect the cylinder. Ill go back to the. \80 this weekend. And try it again. Thanks for input !appreciate it very much. Should have.mentioned new plug. Completely slipped my mind. (I did ride a.bit to get some buildup on plug for.better readings.)

Doe's it rev good on the center stand with no load on the rear tire and then is a total dog when you put it on the ground and try to ride? Could be not enough air with the stock air box. You put on a bigger carb, a bigger jet but now may have a restricted air flow with the stock air box. Try an open element air filter for more air flow and see if that helps.

Thanks for the reply geo. It came stock with a 19mm carb. I just replaced it with an adjustable one. The stock.carb had the adjustments welded(weird i know) in place instead of the usual capped ends. Got the 80 mj in now. Stock airbox with no snorkel. The thing moves.better. doesnt need to.warm up anymore. But im not hitting above 7000 rpms. Im thinking i may need.clutch adjustment. The 4gram sliders should be putting me above 7k rpms. Im trying to "hit the pipe"??(correct me if the term is wrong.) Plug still looks good. Not sure what could be the issue. I beleive the clutch/ or timing may be off. Tried a uni filter\kn style as well with.a assortment of jets from 80, , , ,100 and it made no.difference in top speed.
