Yes! lol That is the piece... I was thinking it was the head gasket seal.. Whatever that piece is, is melted & the plastic "housing" under it was also melted. I don't know... All I do know is that it is making a very loud tapping sound. Any other suggestions on what may be causing this?

Hello everyone, First & foremost I'm new here. Secondly, I'm a fairly new scooter owner. I bought a 2013 brand new TaoTao 49cc moped in Feb. Since I have owned it, I personally feel like someone is sabotaging my poor scooter, it is named Ninja. Anyway... In the last 3 weeks someone took my speedometer & flipped it upside down & put it back in & I was baffled trying to figure out why my speedometer suddenly stopped working. Well, I fixed it, so that problem went away. Last week, someone slashed my back tire, had to get that fixed. & Now, my scooter was making a very loud "tapping sound" I figured that since maybe I used a small amount of cheap gas, just enough to make it to my normal gas station to get the good stuff, that maybe I just needed to clean the carb really good. So, I start off by draining what was left of the cheap gas, replaced the fuel filter, poured the good gas in the tank along with some STP Complete Fuel System Cleaner. As well as changed the engine oil, gear oil, spark plug, & cleaned out the air filter. Cranked my scooter up & let it run for a few minutes & the noise was still the same. So, I take off the seat & start looking at my carb, I see that my air intake hose has a cut in it. A clean cut, like what a knife would cause. So, I keep looking & decide to take the valve cover off, due to assuming that was where the sound was coming from.. Well, As I was loosening the bolts I notice that the gasket seal is MELTED!!! Only in a small spot, under the valve cover. As well as the plastic "housing" around the seal. So, at the moment my scooter is out of commission & it REALLY sucks because I ride it every day to & from work. Sooooooo..... Yeah.... Sorry for the rant.... But, here is where I need your help.. I bought this scooter from a dealer in Texas, & just so happens that my warranty JUST expired. *sigh* So, I now need to buy these items... I need a new air intake hose, a gasket seal, & a seal that goes around the thing where the gear oil is. (Sorry, I don't know what all the parts are called.) What are good name brand replacements & where do I buy them online? With decent prices? Please help me!!!! Thank you, everyone for listening...
