I always made sure there was oil in it. I even carry a quart with me, just in case. I change the oil regularly as well. I use Rotella T 15w 40 Which is what I was told to use...

It revs up fine. It just wont go. I took the cvt cover off & checked the belt, it was in 1 piece, no shreds or anything but I decided to replace it just in case. & Still nothing. It revs, but the back tire will not engage, & when it FINALLY starts to move, I can stop it with my hand, even at full throttle.

Ok, So.. As most of you know, I have had to fix alot of stuff on my 2013 50cc TaoTao scooter in the last week. Well, today my friend wanted to ride it for a lil bit so I let him, he's a pretty chunky guy. But, he rode it down the road & back & when he got back all seemed fine. So later this afternoon I crunk it up to go for a ride, all was well for about 3 miles then all of a sudden it slowly started to lose power, & it slowly slowed down to the point of being under 10mph. I had to call my girlfriend's brother to come pick me & the scooter up in his truck. Got home, took the cvt cover off & replaced the belt. The scooter will crank up just fine, but when I give it gas, it wont go. The back tire wont even move, & IF it does move, my hand can stop it. What's goin on now??

Thank you everyone for all of your help, Especially Scootnwinn & Alleyoop. I will try to adjust the timing myself when I get home from work, if I fail at adjusting the timing, it will be headed for a mechanic's shop first thing Monday morning. I will update later... Cross your fingers for me!

It does work, its just loose, I didn't know if it should be or not. But, If I can just get this to start would be awesome! I need to know how to fix the timing, & if that dont work I'm going to have to take it to the mechanic.

No pieces fell in the crankcase. I double checked. I can turn the variator by hand now, I had to re-adjust the valves. It still wont crank. I notice the starter thingy (the piece that turns the variator) is loose & will sometimes get wedged & "locks" the variator up) I guess thats the next piece thats gonna be replaced. But, it should still be able to start if thats the only problem, right? A video & pix would be great!!!

Ok, So, I readjusted the valves & still wont crank. So, How do I adjust the timing chain? After this last thing, if it still wont crank, I'm gonna have to break down & take it to someone who knows what their doing. I just don't have the money, looks like now I have no choice.

Ok... Still not starting... I did notice when I just took the cvt cover off that the white spinning thing with teeth lol (the crank shaft) gets stuck after a certain amount, it like locks up.. :/ Does that mean I need a new one? or does it have something to due with the timing? How do I adjust the timing?

No, plug is not wet. Haven't tried the artificial fueling thing. I didn't move the chain & when I replaced the camshaft, I made sure it was lined up like it supposed to be, just as I took it off. The big hole in the middle. I don't have a compression gauge.
