Yeah... He seems to be a douche... I paid him $40.00 yesterday just to look at the moped & for the belt, it was only supposed to be $35.00 but he didn't have change. Which I believe is BS. I know I will NEVER use him again & I will not recommend him either. I'm gonna post a pic & a video in a min...

He charged me $35 when he brought my scooter back to me... So, Apparently I had to pay for the new belt, even after I told him that I just replaced it the night before plus labor. Then after I spoke to him & said that it wasn't the belt & was the clutch, I told him to bring the scooter back to me because I couldn't afford the $75 clutch plus his labor charges. So, I ordered one off eBay & I'm gonna attempt to fix it myself. Thanks newbs, that's a pretty nifty trick, I believe I will try that. I think my girlfriend's brother has an Impact wrench though. So, either way, I SHOULD be able to get this done. Is it tricky? Like do I have to it a certain way for it to work? or does it just simply bolt back on?
scootn: What does glazed mean? I think I may have missed that part. D8 Did you call the Mechanic guy like you say you would? I'm just curious what he said.

Ok... Scootn... After the mechanic bought a new belt (after he was told that I just put a new one on lastnight) & put it on, he now claims its the Clutch. So, he said the clutch is $75 & another however much in labor plus the cost of the belt & labor for that... Anyways, he said it would have been like $180. or something. If you would like to call him here is his # (843) 845-2628 & his name is Terry.

Its possible, I guess. I sure hope he figures this thing out without it costing me an arm & a leg, cause if it does, then I won't be able to push it if it should break down again!

When I had it up on the center stand & twisted the throttle, It will rev up, it took about 5 seconds for the back tire to engage (with no weight on it) & even then I could stop it with my hand. If the scooter is on its tires & I'm sitting on it, it will rev up but won't move at all. & I only weigh 130 lbs.

I don't remember the size off hand, but I know when I ordered it, it was the same size as the one that it came with. I can't look at the belt with the cvt cover off because my starter gear will pop out. Its been like that, as long as the cover is on, it starts up fine. I know that is an issue all in itself. I do know, though when I use my hand to move the belt, I can see the gears inside the clutch move & the tire moves as well.

Just got off the phone from the mechanic, he seems to think its the belt. That is was stretched. Thing is, That is a brand new belt that I put on last night... D8 So, he said he went & bought a new belt & that so far my cost is $60.00 & thats even IF that is the problem! *sigh*

sickopsycho.. I swear I wanted to set the damn thing on fire... I even washed, waxed, & tire shined the stupid thing yesterday so it would look all pretty back on the road. Maybe it don't like being all shiny? lol. ramblinman: No, the warranty JUST ran out right before all these problems started happening. Seriously, I believe it was only by a day or 2. That's just my luck though... Hopefully, this mechanic will know what he's doing, he's the only moped mechanic in the area.. & hopefully it won't be too expensive. He said based on our phone call that it sounds like a loss of compression to him & if thats what it is its gonna cost $125.00 to fix that... But, if that was the problem wouldn't the moped not being revving up trying to go?
