Some guys with BBK's swear the stock air box flows just as good as any aftermarket setup, if not better due to the whole intake pulse thing. I'm sure not all air boxes are created equal, but it seems yours is one that lets in a significant amount more air with the snorkel cap off. But, the chrome tubes sure are purty...

From what I understand, the needle comes in at the threaded end of the jet. If the head is longer, then the threaded end wouldn't screw in as far, which means the needle wouldn't go into the jet as far... so my guess is yes it would cause problems. Nope, the needle doesn't touch the main jet, it rests in the tube that the main jet screws into. As long as the 'different' jet screws in all the way and you don't see a gap that would let fuel through, I'd think it would be fine.

Raise the needle one more notch and try again, repeat. If if it still doesn't like the snorkel cap out, you could swap in a larger jet if you're feeling randy.

If it's made to drain, water should just go around the sides and would never touch the battery.

Yup - for an LED to project its light for you to see with, it has to be focused with a special lense, that's why the good LED flashlights work so well.
They will at least make you easier to be seen by others than the stock 18w bulbs though, if you don't blind them as you go by, lol...

Are there drain holes down in there? Some scoots are made to let water in and drain out some areas, sometimes with pretty elaborate gutter systems. If not, seal it up!

My 150 has them on it already. I've heard some dirt bike guys say they don't like them because any dirt that sneaks in them is there to stay and you can't wash it out.

If you mean the head of the bolt is rounded, yes that kit has one for 10mm. Sometimes a stout pair of channelock pliers or vise-grips with good teeth can do the trick if you can 'get on it' with them. If the threads are stripped, you just have to apply outward force to the bolt by one means or another and you should be able to coax it out while turning it.

I haven't done much to it yet, and hopefully won't need to. First off, here's an FYI list of things it has that the many 250cc clones don't, on top of the quality you expect from a Japanese machine - A parking brake A split braking system - applying the rear brake also put pressure on the middle piston of the 3-piston Nissin front caliper. Adjustable rear shocks Storage bucket light Electric fuel pump Domestic lighting bulbs you can get at any store - it uses H7 headlight bulbs which do not dim in the slightest at idle with the brake applied. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few... Things of quality that impressed me over my China scooters include sharp looking gauges with a lens that's still crystal clear and absence of any rattles over bumps. I have not broken myself or found any broken tupperware mounts - no stripped out plastic or bolt holes... and the pieces almost suck themselves back together on reassembly. I found no broken/re-welded exhaust mounts... I'm sure these lists will grow as I get to know it better! So far its gotten the car horns, a cupholder, a 12v outlet in the factory hole, some LEDs in the instrument cluster and a new front Avon tire. Soon will come the Big Ruckus replacement variator face to get rid of the silly 2-stage Reflex variator (they numbed the low 'gear' for the old folks...) then possibly headlight/brakelight modulators. I'm sure by next season I'll be eyeballing exhaust systems...

My Honda Reflex uses two 55watt H7 bulbs (the kind they use in cars), and it charges at 13.5 volts at idle with the high beam on and the brakes applied. They light up the road just like a newer car. My China scoots were fun and cheap, but I'm never going back if I can help it.

If you could not turn off the alarm, you would not be able to ride it. At least on mine, the scooters wouldn't even start if you try while it is armed, along with the siren going off and lights flashing. What does your remote look like? how many buttons? The 'unlock' button should turn off all alarm function - perhaps you have a bad remote.

Yup it will still turn it off. You can look at your fuel or battery gauge (if they work) to verify its turned off, or just try to start it. Someone getting stranded because of the alarm/remote system, its usually due to one of the scenarios I mentioned, lol.
BUT - even the alarm/remote systems in cars can go bad and start it up on its own or remain activated in a way that drains the battery down. It just happens more on Chinese scoots...

WILL SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW THE DANG THINBG STILL DRAINS A BATTERY IF YOU DONT USE IT! It doesn't! ***if it's working properly*** I left mine armed for at least a week over the winter (I tried to ride it at least once a week) and it always started right up like normal. I'm sure it could go longer. I'm also sure that many people with complaints about them simply didn't turn it off with the remote after starting (or trying to start it) with the remote. Also accidentally hitting the 'start' button once will turn on the ignition but not crank it, giving you no indication that you did anything.
