She never stated that she wasn't guilty, that I saw. Sorta ran her over means you can't say "accidentally" ran her over, using simple logic as applied to human behavior. She never claimed that she was dealt a raw deal. Therefore, if you look at it for what it is, it is attempted murder at worst, and attempted maiming at best. I brought it up because everybody was so empathetic to the charge and punishment; how about the victim? Any empathy for them? Would it help if the victim were also a scooter rider on this board? Ahhhh, these are my favorite; the human behavior cases. Moral of the story doesn't change here, though; don't try to kill people just because you're mad at them unless you are at war or in the Middle East.

I've replaced dam near everything but the variator on mine with no top end increase. Got a low-end kick out of lighter sliders. I need to tune weights but I doubt it'll give me much. Wish I would have gotten a 2 stroke.

Not to sound harsh here, but don't break the law and you don't go to jail. You don't ever "sorta" run over somebody you just had a fight with.

I pretty much have the same scoot as you and live about 50 miles north of you and with all my upgrades, I'm averaging 33mph. These stock machines that'll do 55mph just astound me. Gps verify that? Turn af screw all the way in, then 2.5 turns out. That's a good starting point, then just read up on how to tune it. Running w/no filter is engine suicide.

Thank you, Doug; didn't know about the possibility of breakage. Dave, don't suppose you taught at Lowry? I took my basic PMEL course (9 months) and two advanced courses there (Tactical Analysis/Identify Friend/Foe systems and Advanced Electronics Diagnostics, for about another 5 months combined). That was one of my choices, but I worked at DFAS, then it was the Air Force Accounting And Finance Center. In , it was that big brick 3 story building way over in the corner of the base. I remember it!

WOw ok thanks for the input. We live in a rural area and because of the coverage maps combined with the fact that we need 4g because apparently we aren't getting cable for internet so mobile hotspot is all we can use for sometimes up to 3 computers at once (plus the Wii running netlix online). I believe boost and virgin mobile just borrows sprint's towers (who also use Verizon's around here since there are so few Sprint, even though I've had fine luck with Sprint in the past in this small town). Gotta check out Boost now... $40 is sounding right!

[replyingto=terrilee]terrilee[/replyingto]Well that sounds like an awesome deal too but wouldn't work for what I need. We're also spendthrifts.

They are hard to get off because they have to go on so tight, and when you're tuning weights, it's on/off/on/off/on/off. Mine flew apart mid-ride one time; unpretty result. Dave did you ever serve at Langley? I was in -94, Langley then Eielson. (PS I was PMEL; used to calibrate torque wrenches haha... this is about speed of application for frequent changes though).

I have virgin mobile and an andriod phone i pay 35 a month no contract, just buy the phone, got my phone at radio shack for a great price. Unlimted text, web and 500 minutes. That sounds heavily awesome. I used to have a small VM phone about 2 years ago for a short spell; prepaid, paid like 25 bucks a month for 300 mins (and never used those) with web and text and all that. Didn't know they were doing the smart phone thing now. But to use as a hotspot?

Hey guys; we're coming to the end of our Verizon contract. We've had really bad issues with the two refurbed Samsung Fascinates that we got with the plan. I really want to avoid that again.
I have to use my cell as my GPS and speed checker, and I love measurement and space-type apps. Not much of a cell phone gamer. We don't really care at this point if we stick with Android or go iPhone. What we do need is at least 750 talk minutes shared, unlimited text and data, and the ability to use an app. to get internet access for our home PCs (wifi, such as FoxFi produces). Knowing all the stuff and considering that mine will be getting bumped and be in various weather situations, do you have any suggestions?

hypo, what price or your setup? I would like the idea of 12v in case something gets funky on the road and I need to take the variator off (on mine, if you need to replace a belt, it's a beezatch squeezing the pulley together in the rear or front really)

For those of you that have one, which impact wrench (preferable 12V but AC is ok too; not looking for air-compressor powered) would you put your stamp of approval on for under $75? I need to get in and do some variator tuning sometime in the next few months and once adjusted, I'll be done. So, to be honest, I just need an impact wrench that will get my variator nut on and off about 10-15 times total, aside from emergencies, over its entire life, so I don't need a mega-high quality one which is why I'm keeping the search under $75, but I DO need it to NOT break down after the first or second use. What say ye?
