no just behind the fuel is the only fan Ive seen! and again thanks for the help the pic of 250 Honda were out of focus for me to view. really don't want to try and stat it if it needs water in radiator in stead of oil and also no kick strarter on it The picture was an enlargement of your own scooter. I have the same motor and it certainly does not pump oil in the radiator. (I'm thinking a gasket let go)

Nope... It really looks like someone put it their intentionally. This thing has less than 300 miles on it. Other than that it's clear and not brown like the oil I drained from the engine. I've never heard of an oiled cooled radiator either, that's why I'm confused and want to know.

Yeah, those metal id tags riveted inside the cargo area seem to be whatever was in the stack. My tag says that my Mc-79-250 is a mc-47-sante fe, which is a motorcycle format rather than my touring scooter. But, uh? OIL??

My question is what makes u think it is oil? The antifreeze can feel slick like oil but in fact just be the additives. If you are not sure and before assuming take a sample to a local auto tec.and ask him/her. This should shead some light on your concern. The other way to do this is buy some antifreeze and compare. I would do it the first way l suggested, cheaper.

Well think of it this way, you could have a 150 engine that says 250.. LOL But it seems you got a 250 that will take some work. Good luck..

Back in 1962, I had a Chevy Corvair. Air-cooled flat-six (similar to a VW Beetle motor) and the OIL cap LOOKED like a RADIATOR cap...
So... a helpful full-service gas-station attendant filled my CRANKCASE up with WATER, thinking my "radiator" was low. Cheesh! You never know just how oil or water MAY end up where it shouldn't be.
Just a thought...

Right Right side? No stamp where I think you're talking about this, my friend is the 244cc honda clone. yes, it's water cooled. the engine i have did not come with an OEM oil cooler. in the bottom picture, one of the radiator hoses can be seen extending to the right bottom of the engine from the water pump. the other radiator hose connects to the thermostat housing just to the left of the carb looking down from above. at the top of the water pump is another hose with a "spring" on it that connects the pump to the block. i highly doubt if this engine has an oil cooler, because it still has the OEM external oil line.
