I recently bought a scooter and it has had soooooo many problems. I need to ship it back to the company and they wont pay, but amazon might reimburse me. Any ideas how much this would cost or any companies that would do it? I have disassembled the scooter how it was and its now back in a metal Crate/Frame (the way it came) its probably 250 lbs and the crate is 73" long 34" tall and 21" wide. Its a 2014 TaoTao Lancer 150cc Going from Utah 84045 to Texas 75229 The company that delivered it was a 3rd party and the company I bought it from wont help me.

Shipping something like that may cost half what scooter cost. You just may be better to send it to someone to fix then pay shipping. If you can get them to pay for return shipping thats 1 thing but your cost may be a lot.

Dispute the purchase with Amazon and they may take the funds back from the seller until the dispute is settled. That will usually get the sellers attention.
If the recourse you agreed to however is that they will send you any required parts to fix the bike and their TOS clearly states that you will be responsible for any return shipping then you may not have much of a case if they are willing to send whatever is required to get the bike repaired. Was it damaged in shipping or what?

FedEx Freight does big items like that. UPS probably has something similar.
Can you call you ccard bank and alert them to the situation? Like rocky said, if the seller suddenly loses its payment, they'll get a lot more cooperative really fast.

However if they are agreeing to the Terms Of Sale contract and will honor the parts warranty then you really have no recourse.
What is wrong with the bike? Was it smashed or broken or are you having problems getting it running?
When you have a bike drop shipped you are ultimately responsible for doing the delivery inspection and getting it set up in running order whether you do it yourself or hire a mechanic. It is a roll of the dice and sometimes just like a local dealer you will end up having to eat the cost of working to get a drop shipped bike in roadworthy condition.
A few companies like Puma will for two years pay for a local mechanic to repair you scooter however they will not be shipping them out for less than $1,500 for a 150cc bike.
Smart Deals/Texas Power Sport on Amazon sells the bike for $855 plus $179 for shipping so I would not expect them to do more than order the replacement parts from TaoTao and send them on to you once they are received.
They do up front declare that there will be scratches and some shipping damage which they will not be responsible for and that you will be responsible for hiring a certified mechanic (was surprised to see that specification) to assemble the bike.

Like rocky said- Do you need certain parts to make it right, either cosmetically or mechanically?
I bought a Chinese Lance from the California distributor a couple years ago and it arrived with most body panels scratched from the scooter shifting in the metal framed crate. A phone call to them with a couple of quick iPhone photos to prove that I really had the damage, and they shipped me new body panels right out. They even asked if I was OK with doing the repair myself. I wonder if I said no if they would have arranged service?

If I remember correctly the 150 Lance has a dealer cost of right around $750. If you are a drop shipper and have made a deal with a shipping company to handle all your business, you're looking somewhere in the 150-175 range for shipping an individual scoot. Most of my scooters were shiped out of either Dallas or Southern Florida. I'd buy at least 5 to get my per unit shipping cost to $60 or so. Tao-Tao has about 5 distribution points across the country so they are one of the easier distributors for drop shippers.. While a B&M dealer would want to make at least $500 on the deal, many dropshippers are willing to work on $100 or so. I'd doubt that you could get a shipper to ship it back for under $300. The one thing you have going for you is that if it's back in the frame and you were able to get the cardboard secured, you might find a Uship member that might do the job for less. However just because you ship it back is no guarantee that the seller will give you your money back without a hefty restock fee. But look on the bright side, you probably got it substantially less than a local dealer would have sold it.
Good luck.
