Well my problem has been solved. It appears that it was the gas cap. I now have been riding the scooter for 3 days and it has not died once. Thanks for the input guys.
Now to just fix the tire. It is noticeably bumpy at 50 MPH, when I called a scooter shop a while back they suggested Dynabeads? anyone used these?

There's a venting problem ,,,,thats air rushing into the tank,,,,,,take a very small drill and drill the cap ,,,, problem solved,,, happy day Luckily I have a plethora of Drill bits . Anyways I drilled a hole last night. Rode my scooter to work this morning and it didn't die! Woo Hoo! However it could be a fluke, but I have a feeling this has helped. I will have to see if I get the same results tmrw.

That's where I'd be starting,,, the valves,,, and when it dies and you remove the fuel cap did you hear air rush inside? Like the fuel tank is under vacuum? It seems like there is pressure when I take the cap off. Cant tell if the air is going out or in, but deff something there.

First of all I’m not very knowledgeable when it comes to scooters (even though I have owned 2 in the past) I just know the basics.
Well I decided not to ship my scooter back to SMART DEALS NOW because the shipping was too expensive. I decided to turn here. I have a new scooter that has been giving me issues for a couple months now . (2014 TaoTao 150cc Lancer)
I ride my scooter to work (6miles) and every morning and it dies while riding there at least once. ( Mostly it seems when I’m accelerating somewhere during my drive it struggles) I have to pull over and about the time I’m coming to a stop it turns off. I can’t restart it right away.. it seems I have to wait a few minutes.(I turn it off and on take off the gas cap try to do whatever comes to mind while waiting) Then It starts up and seems to work the rest of the day.
It appears (but I’m not %100 sure) that it has something to do with the temperature outside. I only say this because I remember 2 really warm mornings where my scooter did not die and one pretty cold morning where it died 3 times.
I have changed the fuel filter, fuel pump and Intake manifold. (thanks youtube) I have even adjusted the idle (as suggested by some scooter guru)
Anyways I have seen some other scooter riders with similar issues, but not exactly the same. I just wanted to ask around before I take it to a local shop for a diagnostic.

I recently bought a scooter and it has had soooooo many problems. I need to ship it back to the company and they wont pay, but amazon might reimburse me. Any ideas how much this would cost or any companies that would do it? I have disassembled the scooter how it was and its now back in a metal Crate/Frame (the way it came) its probably 250 lbs and the crate is 73" long 34" tall and 21" wide. Its a 2014 TaoTao Lancer 150cc Going from Utah 84045 to Texas 75229 The company that delivered it was a 3rd party and the company I bought it from wont help me.

That is some major side to side woble ! I didn't see if you answered this or not, but has it been like this from the get go ? Or did this just start up one day ? The tire seems like its possible defective , that's if the rim is not bent. The back wheel is not loose is it ? It is a new bike. It was shipped to me. I will have to check if it's loose.

Im hoping this was the issue... While looking around closely for the gas smell I have been smelling for quite some time, I noticed this hose was not attached to anything!

so after changing the fuel pump and fuel filter it seems to have helped a little, but it still dies once a day in the morning in almost the same spot driving to work.. only takes like 2-3 minutes of resting until I can start it again. It will ride the rest of the day just fine. ... still annoying

I just bought a tao tao scooter off amazon this week, 150 cc lancer. I drove it for about 2 miles where it died at a stop light. couldn't get it to start for about 10 minutes. Then it turned over and idled ... I drove it around the parking lot, stopped and started it with ease. So I continued on.sure enough about 2 miles later it died on me again.. this time I could restart it, but if I have it any gas it would die right away.. about 10 min later I was able to get it going again and drove it to my parents house and loaded it on a trailer and took it home. I have changed the oil and used premium gas as instructed. I'm a novice when it comes to scooters, but Hoping its something small so I don't have to get things replaced .
