I believe you, but it makes no sense to me. If an engine is running lean that means less fuel right? Less fuel means a smaller explosion within the cylinder right? A smaller explosion means less heat right? But a lean conditions causes over heating? I don't get it.

I will see if I can get some more info on this (stoichiometric) John

Lean is mean,,but thats only on the track and racing motors get refreshed every other race or so,,for longevity, reliability, and efficiency,,we need to run just right,,a little on the rich side keeps things cooler on these small high revers.

ok so i just receive this linkhow am i suppose to charge it? is there something i suppose to buy? First put the acid in , let the battery stand for 30mins to an hr. Next place on a charger set at 1 or 1.5 amps for about 3 to 4 hrs if I'm not mistaken . the higher the amp the shorter time you will charge it . do not use anything over 2amps to cahsrge it. Even 2,amps is pushing it. I recommend , 1-1.5 amps.

Advance auto has the lithium batteries . there like $100 buck or more maybe $120 , and they are super light. It probably takes a good 4 or 5 of them to equal the same weight as the regular batteries.

$100.00 + dollars for a battery to start a 150cc Chinese scooter. You'd have to be nearly insane to go for that deal. Maybe P.T. Barnum has something to do with these things. Oh... wait a minute, he died in 1891, but he did say that there's a sucker born every minute.....he sure nailed that one. I got a little more than two years out of my original battery, replaced last June with one that cost $22. , with free shipping. At that price I can afford to replace it yearly if need be, but doubt that will be the case. Time will tell.

From what I know lithium batteries are great,,but will give not much warning when going dead,,they are either on or off,,so it could just fall on its face one day with little to no warning.
