Just because you may have some different views doesn't at all make you a bad person. You can usually tell what type of person someone is pretty easy , its a little harder online but I'm getting it down pretty good. And you are a very good person.

So anyways... 2 pages before I was talking about my brake, haha whats happened here?
Back to my brake issue... I am going to order a new back brake, where can I get everything al together with the spring and pads and stuff I need to do a complete replacement? I'm searching ebay and just finding a lot with just the shoes/pads and I'm not 100% sure what I am looking for to begin with.

Yeah I took it off and looked inside, and cleaned it up and everything. I couldn't figure out how to remove the brake from the drum so I left it in there. I do not know what a regular good working brake looks like in a drum so I cannot say if my brake looked like it was in good or bad condition because I have nothing to go on. It was VERY VERY dirty though, thick black paste made from street dust mostly.

post some pics buddy lets see what your talking about . This thread is going longer than my short term memory what is the original problem ? Yeah half of this thread was hijacked lol. The problem is that the tiny lever under the drum brake won't move unless I like push it or pull it with a big wrench with all my might, and I'm a pretty strong dude. Because of that the brake won't work or locks up at best.

No worries Geh,, Yeah a Libertarian is better than a liberal,I always had a terrible hard time trying to choose between two evils or the lesser of...I just believe we should all have freedom of choice and the government should stay out of our lives as much as possible,,I'm all for Liberty.God is the big judge in the end so let people do what they will...they are going to do it anyway even if its against the law or immoral. They just like to make $$ off our decisions,,especially when we break the laws. Sorry lain,,just wanted to let geh know,,hes alright...lol Back to the breaks sticking,,did you lube all the pivot points, make sure the spring is strong, and also check that all the bushing areas are smooth? There is not much to the rear break system.

The pin that the arm is connected too should move freely if the wheel and brake shoes are removed . I wonder if you made the adjustment too tight and that is why it will not move . The pictures will tell the story .

Not using it very often could be part of the problem as things will gum up and start sticking from lack of use. The cable between the brake lever and the brake arm could also be in need of service. Cables can be lubricated however if water has gotten inside the jacket you will need to bring the bike into a heated garage to get everything thawed out and dried up first. The rear brakes do last a good long time and you more likely need to just clean the moving parts and apply new grease unless they have been dragging for a good while.
Parts for Scooters is a good source for brake parts and their on-line parts diagrams may help you sort this out
