I didn't think daytime or night time mattered ? Hills matter but now it's "nighttime dosent count " lol . And yes I am going to post a new daytime vid . Also 10 mph from a decline like that will not happen . Maybe a mile long very steep hill . I gained 6 mph from this decline . I was only expecting a 3 mph gain . Think cold air intake mod. Thats kind of what the night does. All depends on the quality and temp of the air. Sometimes its about just about as hot at night as it is a day, sometimes its a winter summer difference. If I were you, I would stop trying to prove something in which your obviously confident about to people online, and worry more about tickets and safety. Not all speed traps have camera's. Some are simply to see if they need to regulate the area better and alert you of your speed, so in essence you could be bringing more attention to the area.

Please read what I posted after that " alley knew what I meant when I said matters , I meant " alley posted about doing the run at night like it doent count " an excuse . I didn't know that it mattered that I ran my scoot at night . It's not cheating to run at night is it ? But he made it sound like I " wasn't worth my salt , like I just learned something new " lol . Then people pick up on it and try to teach you something that is common sense to most on hear . No offense to you , this is just a product of the ignorance .

Just to get it out there , the radar sign is for the bridge work ahead not for any traps or surveying .

Not surprised it hit 73 due to the motor making more power than the 67 on your daytime run. Like I said at night when it is cooler ANY motor produces more horsepower so it was able to pull the taller gears better. I did not make it the night run as excuse I was just explaining why it went faster.
I also noticed it doesn't have the power to pull off the line with the taller gears I can hear the rpms on the motor.Your displacement by the way is about 156cc over the 149.6cc stock motor, that is why its sluggish starting off it does not have enough low end torque to pull the taller gears..
And your wrong about not gaining 10mph on that stretch of road you run on. That run is pretty long and going down a decline all that distance it keeps on picking up speed everyone knows that. Your scoot I will say again will do an honest 60 on the flats, so the downhill run during the day going down the decline you picked up 7 mph more, pretty basic math if you agree with the 5mph that jersey going over the little hump on the bridge than it flattens out. Your run was all down for a long stretch so there is the difference of the extra mph over Jersey's 5mph and his decline was nothing very short.
I am not getting ignorant about anything BRO, you have said many times you ran 67 on the flats, why not run it on the flat you said you did 67 and not on that declining road that goes down to the valley.

You keep missing what I posted . I am now running 9.5 gram weights that's the main reason I hit the 73 mph , not the night time . I actually had to grind down 3 of my 10 gram weights to 9 grams to get the 9.5 . Also about tthe little speedo being broke comment you posted " and yes another ignorant comment " remember this . itistheride.boards.net/thread/5984/speedo-cable-broke. Or remember in the 68 mph post I mentioned it ? You honestly think I picked up 13 mph on that small decline . Remember your comments " forget who to "about hitting 70+ " if you pushed it off a cliff " well this is far from a cliff and it hit 73mph . You have no faith in these engines

I would run the same 67 mph on the flat that I did over a yr ago but they don't keep the radar signs in place forever " I wish they did " they just started on the new bridge and put one up on that road . Or I would show the gps but I'm using my phone for the video and even if I use my buddys go pro id have to record the gps and the road at the same time and we would be in the same boat . I'm tryin to get it as good as I can

I'm tryin to get it as good as I can I'll have to get on the speedo cable ordering , it's just never been a big deal . I'm pretty sure of where my speeds are compared to where my rpms are at this point . My scoot is not sluggish starting off , i turned up a hill at takeoff that's why it sounded sluggish . It actually picks up very good especially me weighin 210lbs

I have plenty of faith in these motors I have one just like yours on my trike that is why I know what a punched out motor and tuned right motor can do. So if I got you right, now your saying the 73 was due to the 9.5 weights and the night time had nothing to do with it. So now on the flat road that you said you ran and got 67 you will now be able to do 73mph due to the 9.5 weights and 7500 rpms? Is that what your now telling us or have I again misunderstood you.
Just read what you posted, Since you said the speedo is right on once you get the speedo cable no need for a GPS or anything the phone video on the speedo will do.

Come on you know how these scoots run . I was only hitting between 7000 and 7200 rpms on the 68 mph run which didnt sound right, if it was a down hill run right ? So I went to 9.5 and reached 7900 " I could have been 8000 i don't recomend to keep glancing down at the cluster going 73 mph " rpms on the same run . On a straight run now I should be hitting around 7400 rpms maybe 7500 . So no I'm not saying what your trying to make it sound like I'm saying . I'm sure your aware that going down hill no matter what the decline angle is you will increase the rpms and the mph , so why in gods name would I think I'd hit the same rpm and mph on a straight run ? ? Yes the night air helped it out some but it didn't get me up to 7900 - 8000 rpms from 7000 to 7200 . The weights had the most effect . Also my rpms stopped rising about 3/4 way down the decline and I would not have kept picking up speed " I was maxed out " the only way you will keep picking up speed is if you were in space with no resistance .The only way I would have picked up more speed is if the hill got steeper and then I would max out on that hill at a certain rpm and mph it's just physics . I wish I could ignore the physics part but we can't . Just like jumping from a plane your terminal volosity is about 120mph no matter how far you fall from you cannot drop any faster . It's the same with riding down a certain hill at a certain angle and only so much power behind you . So if the road went on forever wouldn't hit 74 .

I guess I should let you know I did run the scoot after I put the new pl30708 belt on , past the same sign to see if the rpms were the same , before I started grinding the rollers . And this was about an hour before I did the 73 mph

Thanks alley u just solved my problem with the speedo reply . After I do a run and prove the speedo is spot on I'll prove u don't need a 63mm bbk to hit 67mph on a straight run . Actually does anyone know of anybody with a 60 or 61 mm bbk that will do 67 on flat ground ?

And i'm simply saying that if you know then why do you feel the need to prove it to everybody? Satisfaction ? I really don't care to reply to this post anymore. Its straight drama. I simply came to check out the video and your configuration for learning and brainstorming purposes. This post is clearly going off topic...
