I have seen a person who named his scooter his "China Girl". I call my red Chinese scooter 'Elvira'.
I have even been know to talk to her, mostly praises for a safe ride home.
What do you call your scooter?

My old Chinese Xingyue 150 was "Lil' Bubba"... Mostly I guess, from me constantly yelling: "C'mon Lil' Bubba, get MOVING with this kamikaze traffic!"... LOL! My current Taiwanese Kymco 250 I call "Minnie Mouse"... Because, well, ah... With her BIG pointy nose (housing the radiator) and her huge folding mirrors that look like mouse-ears, she definitely has somewhat of a "rodent" look... Give her a squint, and you can almost see Mickey's gal-friend starin' at ya'... It's tempting to paint the mirrors black, paint a black nose on her, and add a few nylon "whiskers" to the front plastics... And a pair of plastic buck-teeth below the "nose" would complete the look. Nah... Don't think I'll go quite THAT far... I like " Elvira"... Always been a fan of Cassandra Peterson. What a great-looking old gal... I had a "crush" on the " Mistress of the Dark" WAY back when she was young, and I was not SO old... Even at 62, she's STILL hot! Bet she has the same plastic surgeon as Dolly Parton. Yup... Any scoot, cycle, boat, or other "pet" ride just HAS to have a name.Enjoy ridin' Elvira... OOPS... THAT didn't come out right... Well, you know what I mean... LOL! Leo in Texas

Ah... I don't think I'm quite crazy enough to finish completely "mousing" the old gal... Maybe, if I was a gal... But I DO have to be seen riding the thing... LOL! And, this IS Texas. Maybe when I hit 80... Of course, we DO have taxi cabs with big pink lips, and some with huge furry mustaches... HeHeHe.
Leo (mousing around) in Texas
PS: I did have ONE other ride with a name... fifty-some years ago... "Old Blue" was just a tad more macho than Minnie... Old Blue is where I got my "Old Chopper Guy" handle.
No "mouse" here... Old Blue was 110% pure RAT.
I was sixteen, and 6' 2" and 375 pounds. I could manhandle that nasty chopper with one hand... Time DOES take its toll... Like Clint Eastwood said: "a man's gotta know his limitations..." LOL!

Mine came with a name that they printed on it "Sport City" so thats what I call it or simply "The Bike". It hasn't given me much to chastize it about so I haven't started talking to it or given it a personal name. Grew up on the farm where everything was expendable and the rule was "Don't name them so you don't become too attached". At best we put a number on things we had more than one of (goats, pigs, cows, tractors, trucks, etc.). Didn't name my tools or the household appliances either. Too pragmatic?

2006 Honda FSC600A Silverwing "Jester" 2007 Honda Reflex Sport "Scarlet" 2004 Honda Reflex Sport "After Midnight" 2001 Honda Reflex "Stiletto"
Scarlet has been stripped of her "winning red" skin which was given to a 2006 Reflex Sport that I recently repaired/restored and sold. Now the 2007 Reflex is getting a streamlined fairing built onto her naked bones, so a name change may very well be in order.
Once owned a late 80's Honda Helix which was called "Sweet N' Low" Most comfortable bike to ride I ever owned.
