I got my 50cc scooter when I was 17 years old, now I'm 18 and I have my license and need a faster scooter, but I don't have enough money to buy another scooter even if I sell my current one. Is there anyway I can increase my scooter speed performance? It's a 2010 Eton Beamer III 50cc. All ideas appreciated.

Depends on how much $ u have and how many mph u would like to pick up . For any real noticeable gain u will need to install a big bore kit . And if u do that you will normally have to up jet . To get the most out of the bbk u will want to get a performance exhaust and head . Then u will want to tune the cvt " roller weights, clutch springs etc."

A big bore kit will work on any scooter or just specific, mainstream companies? Also, I've hear of EFI kits too, would that do anything for my performance. I recently had a exhaust issue where my whole exhaust snapped off so I made a makeshift exhaust, so a performance exhaust is out of the question.

Forget about the EFI, that will cost as much as a new 50cc scoot. Alleyoop

i would suggest this. www.ebay.com/itm/331137628394 if it fits yours. its for an eton beamer. i think there all like a yamaha jog, beamers. same horizontal, yamaha jog type motor. look it up. you would need to, rejet your carburetor. which means, you want some jet kits. y8ou want to start biggg and go down1 step at a time until it isnt too much gas no more. or maintanence to get back to original running. some cvt roller weight tuning. an aftermarket variator would be good too. get a name brand. usually lowering roller weights, also going to dr pulleys will do good, give you more speed. i dont know what you would use. people who ride yamaha jogs use the same type of motor and parts as yours. check around with them. also yamaha vinos and zumas use the same, motor. the cvt will be close. er. closer. also refresh your belt if its old. refresh the clutch springs. check yoru clutch pads. theyll do ok, but if they wear out theyll take out the clutch bell. find a service manual and look through it. theres maintance stuff. final drive oil replace it every 1000 miles. it is in my service manual. find out what bike is like yours and use their service manual. or find yours. itll tell you how to tell if your, belt and stuffs worn out. before you put a big bore kit on, check your crankshaft for play left and right in the rod. you can use feeler guages, and the specifications should be in the manual. if your hearing noises, down low in your bike or anything. you would want to take care of them first. and dont use an old worn out broken down crankshaft in a new, high rpm big bore kit. plus your bike is a 2-stroke. too. make sure your filling your auto lube bottle. and if you put a big bore kit on, you would want to maybe toss 2 caps of oil in the tank every time you filled up. for extra lubrication. shake the bike. the belt if its sloppy, has slack, it should be time to repalce it. replacing it will give yo uspeed. replacing the clutch springs both the contra and the 3 grabbers, with some aftermarket ones, like 1000 rpms. would be good for stock. 1500 for a bbk. 2000 but keep the center at 1500, for real big big bore kit. i think i can even get away with 1500 on my big bore kit on my bike, but i run 2000. 1500 center contra spring. a good aftermarket variator will give you some speed. youll need to change roller weights. maybe a cheap set just to practice with to find what gives you better speed. oh and etons i think come with a crappy cdi electronic brain box to begin with. but im not for sure. check your service manual. or online forums about etons.

get your exhuast back on there. if its not got good backpressure. what happenned to it? itll burn up your motor. just stick with variator upgrade. and maintanence. new belt. get a good brand. dont buy out of china. make sure its not a chinese copy of a good brand belt. powergates are sloppy now too. you can get your belt from a yamaha dealer, i think. find an oem site

I'll tell you straight up and everyone will co-sign.
1.50mm bbk
2. A9 camshaft
3. Free flow air filter
4. 7-8 gram slider weights in variator depending on your weight.
5. Performance Gold Casoili cdi
6. Change final gears.
7. Last step exhaust.
All of this together will run about 250 if you do it right.
Or if you don't wanna put in the work, just buy a 150. It cost like around 200 more than a 50, and can be upgraded past a 50.

A 50mm bbk and a set of scrappy 50/16 gears would do you pretty well if you are trying to stay on a cheap budget and doing the work yourself. What budget and speeds are you looking for?

I get a error page when I click on the link: www.ebay.com/itm/331137628394. Also, I'm considering a big bore kit. Is there a specific website for BBK's?

I'd like to try to keep it under 200$ & I have a lot of handy family members that work with harley's and other motor transportation so labor is no problem.

hes got a 2-stroke. im not getting an error when i click on that link. www.ebay.com/itm/331137628394thats a eton beamer 3. not sure that bbk is for a beamer. eton. fix that exhaust thoguh not the right backpressure and youll blow the piston. myabe just stick with some small big bore kit. 66cc if the exhaust is decent. get the head with it. or just do some cvt upgrades. that eton is like, i think the same motor as a yamaha jog. you could try to do the repair and get the right half engine case. you could get a bike shop to do it. or someone you know. or do it yourself. with no special tools. thats how i do it. flywheel puller. an impact wrench to remove your variator. dont need to take the whole motor apart. just the right side pull it off. maybe find a used right side on ebay. but find out what motor it is. if theres an engine code.
