Fuel Octane

Bought a used Jetmax 250. The user manual says to use octane but the highest I have found so far without ethanol is 91. Should I use the 91 and add an octane boost or use a with ethanol and add something else like sea foam? Bike just broke 1000 miles and don't want any engine troubles. This will be a daily driver (15-20 miles round trip to work and back) plus weekend runner. Also anyone know how to work the factory radio on? The user manual doesn't have anything on how to tune or pre-sets.

I think Alleyoop meant just use the 91 if that's all you can find.

Thanks for the input guys.
Rocky - Not sure which system for octane rating is used in manual, but the recommend SAE oils so I'm assuming its US octane.
Now if I can just figure out the radio life will be good.

Yes, the octane I use is 89. Runs great.

My taotao eve 150 ATM runs the 89 octane exactly the same as the 91 or octane. So I run what ever fits the budget at the time. Sometimes the 89, sometimes the others. No ping at all on the 89. So the only reason to run the better stuff is 'supposedly' the better stuff has more detergent qualities to keep your fuel system clean.

I just don't like ethanol in all the gas.
