Have to agree with previous posters, a 250 is only good to about 70mph. My CFMoto Jetmax 250 maxes out at 72 mph but I'm more comfortable at 60-65 on her. Not saying she's not safe at 70+ but I just like having that extra little bit for those moments when you need that extra speed to get out of troubles way. If you need more than that I'd look at something like the Burgman or Morpheous.

ricardoguitars I'm liking the looks of Hero pants in your link. Are they warm under your pants and would they be uncomfortable to wear all day at work? The summers here in Buffalo can be a bit humid as we are right on the lake and reach up to 90F on a good day. I work outside as a delivery driver for a food distributor and do a lot of physical work. Or would you suggest taking them off when I get to work? If that's the case I could just get armored pants and change at work and save these for my days off.

superjew78 Did you get the V5? The wife has one and she loves the look of it. Hers is white and blinged out with pink stickers and gems. I don't care for it much because it has no storage at all. We had to add a top case to it. Also the radio is pretty use less at speed. She doesn't do highways on the bike we just scoot around the city and back roads. Although I have taken my Jetmax on the highway I think it's too light to mess with all the truck traffic we have in our neck of the woods.

Hey Cyborg I know exactly where Eden is. Love going down there every year for the corn festival. Trying to talk the wife into moving down towards Gowanda area and out of the city but she's a city girl so probably not gonna happen til we retire in another 20 years. Southern Cali you say... I was born in Whittier but raised in Buffalo. Also did 5 years in Tustin in the Marines. Enjoyed my time out there but missed the change of season we have in NY.

It was a warm 29 degrees here in Buffalo but we also have ice and snow on the ground so no riding here. Seen a few quads on the roads but no scoots

Mftic - I looked at those pants and those would probably fit what I'm looking for and for the most part match my jacket.
wheelbender - except for back and forth to work I also wear regular jeans. I'm just looking for a little something more.

Just curious as to what the people on the forum wear to protect the lower half of your bodies? As I wear a uniform for work, its dickies to and from work. When not going to and from work I'll wear jeans. As always it's an armored jacket, modular helmet, gloves and boots on the rest of me. Been thinking of getting a pair of armored jeans for riding but not looking to break the bank. Been looking on Revzilla and Motorcycle Superstore but prices are pushing $200 and up for a good pair. Seen some around $100 but those have kevlar sewn in and not removable armor. So my question is what do we all wear and how comfy is it. Nothing scares me more than seeing a youngster ( I'm pushing 50 ) riding in shorts, a tank top and sneakers. Or the guy in full race leathers and his girlfriend on the back in shorts and a windbreaker. As always stay safe out there.

Nice vlog. How did you train Maggie to ride with you? I want to train my beagle but thinking he might be to big to ride like Maggie does. Bandit, my beagle, is about 40 lbs and would be a little much to ride in front of me. I would need some type of backpack type carrier for him. Also do you worry about her ears being out in the breeze or is she down below the windscreen? Be safe out there

Would love to take my dog with me on the bike but I don't think he would sit still long enough to get out of the drive way. He's a hyper beagle who loves to howl at anything that moves lol. You might have answered this in another post but what kind of dog is Maggie and how much does she weigh? She looks a lot smaller then my 40 lb beagle. How did yo train her to ride with you or did she come by it naturally? You and Maggie stay safe out there.

Sorry to hear about a fellow rider getting hurt and hope you get well soon. I also have pins and plates from an accident at work. I broke both bones in my ankle in Dec of last year. Was in a cast for 4 months and crutches, cane, and therapy for another 2. The thing that kept me going was telling myself that the scoot came out of storage on May 1 and I was riding it home and not the wife( even though she is very capable on a bike). I'm not gonna lie I was a little nervous the first time I jump on my baby for the ride home but made it in one piece. All I can say is take your time and when you are ready you will get another scoot.
Take care Mouse
