Maybe I shouldn't be answering... Just got back from a scoot - my phone says it is a bone-chilling 80 degrees... There is a bit of wind blowing today...crossing the bridges is exciting... Sponsored by the "Visit Florida" Tourism Board... To establish my "bona fides", so I don't get any evil messages in response to the above... When I was in my 20's, I lived in Northern NJ, and rode my 1982 Yamaha SECA 650 or 1987 Suzuki GS450LH all winter (with a full windshield) - well, as long as there wasn't TOO much snow...

Temp dipped into the 30s in the Houston area with winds gusting to 30 knots. I saw no two wheeled traffic all day.

It was a warm 29 degrees here in Buffalo but we also have ice and snow on the ground so no riding here. Seen a few quads on the roads but no scoots

Hey Cyborg I know exactly where Eden is. Love going down there every year for the corn festival. Trying to talk the wife into moving down towards Gowanda area and out of the city but she's a city girl so probably not gonna happen til we retire in another 20 years. Southern Cali you say... I was born in Whittier but raised in Buffalo. Also did 5 years in Tustin in the Marines. Enjoyed my time out there but missed the change of season we have in NY.

I'm thinking 'gull and mrsunsett are cruisin' for bruisin's. Go ahead, gloat while you can. At some point it'll be summer and you'll have 200° lows with 800% humidity. Then who'll be laughing, huh. Personally, I wish I could join crawford and stay inside. Although today we had a heatwave, I think it got close to 40°! 'bender, I sure hope my big bro had his heat turned on while he's up here visiting. 30° is awful for Houston, and can freeze y'alls pipes if you're not careful. Although I'll trade you our negs. (and I bet Iowa would trade us--they were -16 NON-WINDCHILL!!!!!!!! ) >'Kat, staying in the warm car while Peej stays in the warmishish garage

We were good here in Michigan all through November. We dipped down into the 20s, but without any snow.
As it is now we have a good 10" of standing snow on the garage roof and all of the secondary roads are snow/slush covered and slippery. I haven't ridden since the snow began to fall. Once there's a chance for ice to be on the roads in the morning (we've had a few mornings with sub double digit wind chills) I appreciate the fact that I also love to drive my car.
That and the fact that even if the temps get up to the point where the snow and ice are melting it turns the roads into a slurry of concentrated salt water keep me off two wheels until things really start drying up.
