Was gonna change fluids and go ride but scoot had other ideas for me. Warmed up bike and did oil change but while warming up bike ran really warm while idling figured no big deal old fluids would be going and hopefully fix that. Got oiled changed no problem. Decided to see about cooling issue. started bike and again almost pegged while idling. After checking coolant bottle to make sure full decided to check fan. Not spinning ugh now to find out what the problem is. Not to familiar with these small engines. But traced the wires back to a 2 prong plug. Pulled plug and stuck a meter across the terminals and it had no voltage at all. Those wires went into a bundle and lost it after that. Did see a sensor of some type on top of the block where a water hose was but only 1 wire coming out of it. Could that be a temp sensor and if so how do i test it?. Are there any relays i should look for? Forgot to mention this is a used Lance Duke 250. Also need help with a no charging issue but one problem at a time. So i come to the board for any and all help you can provide. One last thing, how can i get the right side fender off to do all this work easier then having to lay on my back in drive way and working upside down. Got center console off but couldn't get fender off. Do I need to remove more panels or just look for more screws. Found one in front and took off top box but center seem still solidly attached. Thank you in advance.

Thanx gatekeeper have that site saved myself for parts. Need a headlight assy because chrome is coming off mine and also plastic around gauges is cracked. That was the site I was looking to order from. Guy who sold it to me bought it for his wife and I think she either laid it down or ran into something. Runs good but needs some TLC.

Thanx for the welcomes. Am I right in thinking the 09 Fashion(wifes bike) and 07 Duke have same engine? Got busy with other things but hoping to do fluid changes tomorrow and get mine started because wife is dying to go cruising.

[replyingto=trailheadmike]trailheadmike[/replyingto] TrailHead, what year is that manual? I have a 2007 Duke Touring 250 and see some differences. No kick start on mine but basically the same. As far as service goes from what I can see is to find the motor in your bike because they all clone each other. Then find a service manual for that motor.

Howdy all. Go by the name Mouse online. Me and the Wifey started riding last year on 50cc and moved up to 250 this year. She bought a CF Moto Fashion 250 and I got a Lance Duke touring 250. Hers was obviously better cared for than mine but plugging along anyways. Both are used and wishing(hoping) to find service manuals for both. This guys not afraid to do some wrenching and from what I hear I'll be doing some on my Lance. Need to do fluid change and trace a non charging issue on mine, have read it could be a number of things. So thats my story short and sweet.
