Snapped a pic this is the variator shaft notice the washer piece in front ob the crank seal. That is not a washer that is part of the crank, that is where the Variator plate goes and tightens up against EVERY scooter crank has that. Alleyoop

And yes if you hold the brake and try give it throttle IT WILL BOG the motor has less than 3 horsepower that is normal, you can do that with just about any scooter. Ever use a lawnmover or snowblower same thing you hit some really tall grass with the lawnmover and it will bog same with a snowblower go and push it against some good amount of snow and they will also bog and they are like 8 horsepower. With the brakes on it will not have enough power to break away . My hot rod 2T can pop a wheelie . In the grass or dirt I can do a long burnout without holding the front brake lever

With the brakes on it will not have enough power to break away . My hot rod 2T can pop a wheelie . In the grass or dirt I can do a long burnout without holding the front brake lever so what about being able to hold it in one place with one foot? Iv never been on a scooter that I can hold in one place I had a old atm50 that was on its last leg and I still couldn't hold it in one spot but when I say this bike has no power I mean NONE lol

Really need to know what RPMs you are reaching. If you can hold it still with your feet at WOT, there is most likely an issue with the clutch, but can't be sure without knowing what RPMs you can achieve at WOT.

From what he says, the motor is really down on power if he can hold it still with only one foot on the ground. Take a compression test on the motor, sounds like it has less than 120psi. You can do a quick test if you do not have a gauge take the plug put stick your finger in the hole nice an snug open the throttle and hold it open and crank it. If it is low on compression you will feel just some pressure on your finger. If it has descent compression it will LIFT your finger off the hole. Alleyoop

Chris today I tried holding mine back , no brakes , just the front and just the rear today . With no brakes it would drag my feet . Note I have 1.5k clutch springs and a beasty BBK for an ATV . I have dual opposed pistons in the rear caliper ( which is very rare as most have a cabled drum ) and it would lurch just a bit . When I tried just the fronts it would lung forward and nosedive . Check your inbox as I sent you a message Chris

clean the carb. hehe. and here on this page. www.discounthondaparts.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=2459771&category=Scooters&make=Honda&year=2001&fveh=131297the #6 is the restriction on an elite variator. to check your belt if its worn, measure the width. under 15mm wide and its worn or if its really loose when put together, with a lot of slack. under 15mm is out of service limits. will slow your acceleration. and check your roller weights. i like sliders better but i never used those on stock, so i wouldnt know what to suggest. 8 gram rollers are good for the stock motor. you can dremel, the ring out of the exhaust. take it off and its right, where it connects to the motor. make sure to flush out any metal after you get done. also some lye in the muffler can clean out carbon. find a bucket, just enough, JUSTTT ENOUGH room to fit the large big fat part of the exhaust down into. and also youll need a can of black or whatever grill paint. that stuff that you paint barbecue grills with. make sure to follow the instructions. but, set your exhasut in the bucket, fill up extra room with bricks, add your lye and fill with water. let sit. pick up every hour and let the stuff drain out. itll be like ink. use lye. and some things actually can make it hot, just use lye. find lye. there are other stuff. but the ingredients i dont really remember. clean out, over and over with water like a water hose. after you get done. dont get it on you, it dissolves bodies in graves. hehe. i wouldk know. naaahh. .. be careful wear eye protection, from spalshing. i was around some dumb dog that was licking up spilled water. he lived. stupid dog. it landed on a board though. nothing but wet spot. thats if your mufflers all clogged up. id say dremel that washer, lye dip and clean out repaint all at the same time. 8 gram rollers for your variator, a different back ramp plate, like from scooterdomain.com for the stock variator. get a 139qmb back plate. they work, same as an elites and takes out a default elite restriction. gain you maybe 5-9 mph. or something. i got one. extra, i think. make sur eyou repalce your slider guides also. occasionally. at least with your belt. if they crack or break, theyll take out your variator with it. check your clutch pads. make sur etheres no oil on them, or in your clutch bell. thatll make it spin and not go. like if someone was filling up that back final drive bolt fill thing, and got on on the clutch while they where doing it. if you got the rear cvt cover on, you probably dont have to worry about that. an impact wrench to take the drive and driven pulleys nuts off with. back one, dont wack too hard. and when you install, an elites weird, use a ratched and hold the kick pulley half ramp plate, on the drive side, with your hand, and turn with a ratched the nut, until it hurts. to get that bolt down good. it coujld come off on you. mine did once. but i hadnt even left yet. and another time, had a bbk, and later, when i went to wack it back off, i use a cigarette lighter impact wrench, and one wack, it knocked the nut off. not very tight on ther,e i dont think so. could of easily came off, later. i had just put it on there. too. get it down, then impact it with the impact wrench. you can also, make a tool, to hold the drive side and driven side with. you use the stator and put 2 like round dowel head nuts in it, on a bar thats adjustable to hold the crank steady as you take the variator nut off. and use the dowel head bolts in the clutch bell, to hold it steady to take the driven nut off. check and replace your final drive oil with 10w40 oil. 3 ounces. until it comes out. dont overtigthen that stinking aluminum crap. i rethreaded 3 bolts in that area. no make that 4 but i had 2 final drive covers. pshh i forgot to add, clean thecarb. take all the stuff out. the pilot jet is set, its just a hole, beside the main jet. take the main jet out. and disassemble the whole carb. theres also a tube that pushes out from the main jet hole. get it with a pencil or soemthing, from above, from the throttle slide tube. its brass, dont lose it. push it down. right in the middle. spray carb cleaner, in a hole, and if it comes out one way, clog that with yoru finger, put your finger over it and spray more, see if theres another hole. i had to clean acarb twice once before it wouldnt stop not taking off on me. the pilot kept, reclogging over and over. you sound though, like you got, worn out belt or rollers or oil in your clutch bell. measure the width or if the belt has a bunch of slack. repalce it. and while yoru at all that, ifyour freshening, refreshening, up your cvt, replace your clutch grab and contra springs. try some 1000 rpms springs. they do alright on the stock motor.
