Hmmmm, Any idear what your A/F screw setting is? I'm wondering if your over-working your enricher circuit?
My 150 gy6 is much like yours, and I've got the 1500rpm torque spring, but haven't put in my 1500 clutch springs yet. Think I might do it tho. Also, I will be reducing my variator sliders from 13g to 11g

It also wouldn't hurt before you go changing the jet to bring the needle up 1 notch give that a shot as well as re adjusting the A/F screw

Just to clarify when they say for example 24mm or 32mm carb that is the measurement on the INSIDE LIP OF THE INTAKE side of the carb. alleyoop

I think your red hot problem is the MUFFLER itself, for a UNI and a Free Flow and motor being stock the biggest main jet for those mods would be a #115 and a #35 Pilot jet. Open up that muffler a little. Alleyoop

Will do that as well as hit a local shop and get some real muffler packing. I will be doing this the rejet and making a new header before i pull any springs.
Thanks all again Rustedwrench

When you change the flow inside the exhaust and expose the outside casing to the exhaust gases directly before they have gone though the baffling to slow them down and cool them you can get a red hot can. The steel wool can also act like a catylitic or mantle type burner inside the can and add to the problem converting any unburnt fuel remaining into heat.

What i did with my muffler was took a grinder and took the rear weld off and its like a cap i then took a saws all and cut it to about approx 8in that got rid of the baffles then where the pipe comes into the muffler i drilled 3 3/16 holes into the cap then i took the cap end i ground off ground around the muffler put the cap piece back on and soldered it and it has worked fine with the stock engine it gave it more low end and has worked great with the BBK

Oh great....i might be hosed-messed up or even forked... This is not good and i have stopped working on my scooter for now.....
I got this scooter from a close friend. He gave me a bill of sale from him to me and the cert or origin....he never registered it and......no signature on the back from the dealer. We called all numbers for the dealer and he has shut down years ago. Tennessee wont let me register it. NOT AT ALL....NOTHING. I asked about having it inspected and a new title applied.....No Trying for a lost title then having it registered as rebuilt...No I we round and round....my only option is to find a title and frame for a damaged scooter and swapping around everything. I dont mind swapping around everything. Have had it apart 2 times allready....getting easy.
Does anyone have a frame n title....a damaged scooter on the cheap...any other option...... ANY OPTION ? ? I want to fix the hot exhaust and ride but might not be able to.....ever. Wife.....so far so good but not happy........oh no. Not happy
HELP. Anyone..someone...sniff sniff. If not...im selling it as is.
Thanks. To any one that can help.
