Oh great....i might be hosed-messed up or even forked... This is not good and i have stopped working on my scooter for now.....
I got this scooter from a close friend. He gave me a bill of sale from him to me and the cert or origin....he never registered it and......no signature on the back from the dealer. We called all numbers for the dealer and he has shut down years ago. Tennessee wont let me register it. NOT AT ALL....NOTHING. I asked about having it inspected and a new title applied.....No Trying for a lost title then having it registered as rebuilt...No I we round and round....my only option is to find a title and frame for a damaged scooter and swapping around everything. I dont mind swapping around everything. Have had it apart 2 times allready....getting easy.
Does anyone have a frame n title....a damaged scooter on the cheap...any other option...... ANY OPTION ? ? I want to fix the hot exhaust and ride but might not be able to.....ever. Wife.....so far so good but not happy........oh no. Not happy
HELP. Anyone..someone...sniff sniff. If not...im selling it as is.
Thanks. To any one that can help.

Coolio.
Thanks. I am running both yellow springs in the clutches and in the main bell. So with this im not to worried about rpms being high. Im in the 7500ish range but gets there slower than the stock springs. I need to check the weight of the stock springs to know where i came from. Also the exhaust will soon have a heat shield and muffler packing.....not steel wool. Weeeeha. I will be checking my plug soon as well. Might need to hit that 135. I might even look into directing some of the outside air to the muffler for extra cooling and the combining of rollers....good idea. Fine tune it.
Time will tell.
But thanks again to all.

Ahhhhhhhhh crap. Im sorry. I ordered a 125, 130 and 135. I installed a 130.
As soon as im home from recovery and rehab i will pull. Look. And poss change. Might need to go a bit higher as well.
How dern tight do these Uni filters fit. Mine fit so tight----how tight was it-------so tight it just poped right off. So tight i made an extension to pull it away some and out of the way.....whew. Never was able to actually get it to clamp and stay. Tooooo tight. But i am now pulling in colder air so...cool. But does this mean i might have a bigger than 24mm carb? I dont see any print on it and i did not measure before i put it back together.
Oh well. Thanks for the input.

Yeah i know about the steel wool and fire. We used to take our Rockford Fosgate amps and light the wool on fire with the speaker outputs. But dang......did not think it would get that hot....it didnt until i got it to rev up into 7000rpms.
So yes i will be changing that out. Also i have a 25, 30 and 35 main jet with a 30 currently installed. I have not checked the plug but guessing a 35 might be in order.
Anyone checked out the vid on youtube yet....im using my phone and having problems viewing it....not sure if it is because im using a phone ir not.
Thanks

Hey guys. Thanks for fast reply.
Black plastic all good. No melting that i saw but could stand a better looksy. Quick recap. All changes as mentioned but no 1500 yellow springs. Pulled my son and I up my big hill with no prob and we are about 320lbs. Now put in 1500 yellow springs and zooooom. 7500rpms but it takes a bit to get there and not as fast not as much power taking off. Oh and yeah gotta include the burning hot insides....oh how i love the humper sound and the more umph...i think i might just go back to the stock springs.
I am having surgery tomorrow so it will be at least a week before i ride so i will just tinker and inspect it. Oh and the carb is now 30 main jet and it is a 24mm carb. I say 24mm but man getting on the uni was a pain....almost like it was bigger than 24mm.
Oh well. Will hit it again soon. But for now thank you for the feedback i will be looking into it more and still.....comments welcomed. Im going to check that youtube vid and see if it is done. Im doind this all from my phone so sorry for slow vid upload and bad spelling
Thanks again Rustedwrench

Well here we go... Im new here and just got a 150 gy6. 2005 model with 440miles. Been sitting in the back of a garage for a bit. I cleaned the carb Rejetted it for a uni filter AC cdi box Hi per coil Iridium plug Added 13g rollers 1500 bell spring and clutch springs.
I have done nothing about a header yet but i did cut the stock muffler down to 12" and used a gutter screen in it with steel wool packing. Now........here we go Before i put in the 1500 springs it pulled hard but topped out at 6000ish rpms. Ran good. and strong. I changed to the new springs and noticed........My exhaust . After a 5 min ride . Was almost on fire...WOW....i got back and it was cherry red. Hot enough to smoke the rubber around the mount.
Im thinking i need to go back to the factory springs before i burn something up
A little more info. I live in Tennessee and deal with a lot of hills. I have not started riding to work yet but i will be traveling 49 miles each way. No highway. Nothing more than 55mph. All hills tight turns and only a few wide open runs...
Aside of the almost fire. I love this thing. It is pulling me and my son up the back hills. We are combined 320 lbs. But again i think im going back to the stock sprigs and saving up for the better clutches.....oh yeah and poss. Changong my exhaust. Hehehehehe I dont have a video of the redness but i do have a video im trying to get loaded up. As soon as i get it on youtube i will update my post.
Advice or thoughts are welcomed.
Thanks Rustedwrench
