Roads definitely show no mercy and the pavement will always be waiting. A buddy of mine died last week on his bike so lately I've been extra cautious.

thanks it's been fun building it back and during the process i was able to make some improvement like making custom cut gaskets from fiber cellulose for the entire engine since i used diesel oil and it ate the Chinese blue paper gaskets within 2000 miles. now they are impenetrable so the engine is stronger.

No way Jose. It's all about the ride. I didn't buy a bike to go sailing through the wind in a cocoon. As has been proven, It'll heal. On another note today both my rides hit milestone moments within 5 minutes of each other. I knew the bike was hitting 5k so I rode it around the block, but when I got on Scootie today I was surprised to see it was rolling 3500.   |

Good to see that you are both on the mend!
Now it's time to take steps to insure it stays that way.
If you have a CycleGear local to you head on down and get some Sedici armored race gloves while they are on sale. The Lifetime Guaranty makes them a good investment as long as you save your receipt. A decent jacket with some elbow, shoulder and back protection along with the rest of the outfit would be a good idea too.

I'm healed up as well, except discoloration scarring that resembles being a burn victim. Looks like in the next two weeks or so the weather will permit it being time to ride again. I can't wait. I bundled up a couple weeks ago and went out for a ride looking like the michelin man. ;D I don't believe in windshields and flares, I like my 2 wheel experience to be pure so it's good and damn cold running a naked bike in January/February. I got my fill in that 2 hours after being housed up healing and building the bike all winter and I can't wait for the weather to change!
