I agree with scootn'. Please don't go to your local store, try on everything, then spend your money online. I mean, doing this on occasion isn't so bad. I've done it myself, I found something online but wanted to actually see it, found it in a store. Would've bought it there but they didn't have my size.

Seriously, if it's not crazy-more expensive in the store, buy it there. One--instant gratification 'cause you're going home right then with item in hand. Two--you're keeping that local store in business. If everyone goes to the local store to check out things but buys online, that local store isn't going to be there for the long run. Nobody can stay in business without customers actually spending money (instead of merely coming in to shop).

Don't overlook name brand mainstream bike dealerships either. If you buy a bike from them they also send out managers coupons for anywhere from 10% to 50% off.

The also sell Eton and take Chinese bikes in trade.
