Chinese paint was cracking and flaking off so I took the bike apart to the frame. [img src="http i172.photobucket.com/albums/w7/warren1977/20130907_185435_zps06d539f8.jpg"] Wet sanded it with 600(400in the rough spots), sprayed it with krylon fusion hot red pepper, and automotive clear, wet sanded with 1000 and rubbed it down with rubbing compound. Then put it back together. I still need to do some more buffing, but it looks better than it did.

Nice paint job. You're right, a little more buffing and you would think it was a factory paint job.

Wow. I have had good results with Krylon on a few items. I never realized you could paint a scooter body with it.

Then put it back together. I still need to do some more buffing, but it looks better than it did. If you have it sanded really smooth, and you've used rubbing compound, then use polishing compound and then wax it. I really like how the polish gives it a mirror shine.

And, since ibtrikin aint posted since sep last year, we may never know how the paint job held up. My bad guys. I've had back surgery and all sorts of stuff going on. Didn't mean to be away so long. The paint is holding up just fine, however, I'm going to wet sand and reclear it. The automotive clear coat I got at autozone turned milky  I should've stuck with the rustoleum clear.
