I have a Throttle Cable that the front fork wore a hole in the insulation and now it's frozen.
What I'm wondering is:
When ordering a replacement, should I measure the length of the casing or the overall length?
Also, I've checked the usual places online, including eBay and Amazon, and all the cables I've found either don't have a tab to mount the Cable underneath the box on the handlebars, or have a different tab. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement like the one on these trikes?
The place where I bought it no longer sells scooters, so I'm SOL there.

Nice, dude. I like the side fairings on that trike, but probably wouldn't if I had to work in it. Lol

Ibtrikin, I have over 25 years in an automotive spray booth, I believe what has happened is the undercoat and the clear you used were incompatible, and the under coat is trying to come through the clear and making it appear cloudy and if this is the case and I think it is then putting more clear on will only add to the problem, it needs to be stripped down and repainted from scratch. . I agree. The parts I cleared with rustoleum clear(automotive) are fine. The clear I got from autozone is the one that clouded up. It's pretty much just the rear fenders, so it'll be a quick redo.

My 150 maxes at 58(GPS) even though the chinometer reads 72mph. I've got a high flow air filter, 115 jet in the carb, 12g rollers, taller rear tires, and an emgo, fairly open exhaust. What I'm saying is, 60mph is possible, but it'll take a bbk.

And, since ibtrikin aint posted since sep last year, we may never know how the paint job held up. My bad guys. I've had back surgery and all sorts of stuff going on. Didn't mean to be away so long. The paint is holding up just fine, however, I'm going to wet sand and reclear it. The automotive clear coat I got at autozone turned milky  I should've stuck with the rustoleum clear.

Chinese paint was cracking and flaking off so I took the bike apart to the frame. [img src="http i172.photobucket.com/albums/w7/warren1977/20130907_185435_zps06d539f8.jpg"] Wet sanded it with 600(400in the rough spots), sprayed it with krylon fusion hot red pepper, and automotive clear, wet sanded with 1000 and rubbed it down with rubbing compound. Then put it back together. I still need to do some more buffing, but it looks better than it did.

Quick update: The trike runs good with emgo. It is loud, though. I got the best results with a 115 main jet and stock 35 pilot jet with the idle screw 2 3/4 turns out. However, the 12g sliders cost me 5 mph. I'll have to order some different ones.

If the clutch pully is wobbling all over the place worn out it doesn't matter what belt you use it is toast. So check your pulleys for wear b4 you go belt crazy. When a belt screeds at 250 miles something else is wrong. I used to think only Gates PL30507 or Bando was good enough, but if the goal is to see how far they will go then maybe that idea is sound. But what I found is belts run best new and thick, once they get down to 17mm they slow up. Although you can still run them 2000 miles more, what's the point. So I go with Elcheapo and expect 1000 miles per belt. These things are like new when I take them off or out of service, then I give them away to my scooter friends who never have a spare. Ha Ha This is what I got for $6 each. Yeah for Cheap Azz Belts YeaH!!!!!!!! Variator and Clutch are fine. That belt was crapola. The Gates is doing just fine.

who did you get it from what dealer I got it on Amazon for $29 and if I remember correctly, it shipped free. It's made pretty well. Not thin metal like the ones that come on the bikes. It's pretty hefty. I did have to drill a hole in the bracket, but it fit right into the flange. I plan to take it to a muffler shop and have them weld me a 1 1/4" pipe on the stock pipe though. I ordered the reducer with the muffler which takes it from 1 1/2" inlet to 1 1/4" inlet. That should make for a better joint from pipe to muffler.
