Exhaust gasket fell out. What's the torque on exhaust studs supposed to be?
Edit: found it. 25 lb-ft

It probably has more of a deep almost snapping sound to it that the camera mic doesnt pic up on huh? I took a vid of my 150cc with my exhaust and it sounded great in person but the video came out like yours. It sounds good on video but way way better in person. Lol Yeah. It almost sounds like a dirt bike, lol. Not bad for a $29 muffler. |

Video is uploading already, lol. It's backfiring on decel. I'm gonna try 120 and 125 mains tomorrow. I finally got the Dr. Pulley sliders in too.  Productive day! |

I needed a belt a while back and all my dealer had in stock was a kingrec belt. He said they were supposed to be better than Gates. Right..... 250 miles later it didn't just break..... When I took the CVT cover off I found this....  dust and string....  Gates or nothing from now on. |

I haven't gotten to try 'em out yet, but hopefully they won't rub. There's about 1/4-1/2" between the tire and brackets. I'm hoping that's enough ;D

Thanks for the input guys. I'm gonna try it out. I just wanted to know it wouldn't damage the engine before I started cutting and welding on the pipe. If it doesn't work out, I can order a new exhaust. I'll only be out $27 for the Emgo, so no big deal.

I ordered an Emgo shorty muffler to replace my stock muffler which is falling apart. I ordered it because it is 12 inches long, which is the right length for the trike. When it came in, I noticed it's a pretty open design. It is baffled, but it's pretty much a hollow 3/4" tube through the center. Think it will have enough back pressure, or do the 150s even benefit from back pressure?

Alley's bike is badass and will chew up a lot of 250's. Jim is a helluva builder. If he was closer, I'd pay him to build mine up. My guess would be he had Jim do the build because his case had to be bored, and he trusted Jim to do it. Why do you think you have to build it yourself to be proud of what you got? FWIW, Al does a lot of his own wrenching and has helped countless scooter owners get the most from their bikes.
