If you can look at the pic and give me any information about what motor this is it would help out a ton. Thanks PCB

oh sneaky sneak!!!! i'm guessing it had a tag from a 50cc on it at one time. I may have to buy it anyway. no key or title but it's cheap and the tires and rims are worth more then they are asking for it. thanks for the info millsc.

A 150cc no title no key pawned off as a 50 is most likely stolen

I thought you were getting out of the flipping scoots biz....?
I know that no title means it'll only be good for parts. Unless you want to go through the apparent massive hassle of re-titling it.

Oh it would have been for parts. I had a lady give me a 50cc over the summer and I used it for parts and it has saved me a lot of money. I still have th engine, wheels, tires and a few more parts i can use when needed. It's nice having a junker laying around to take parts from. I have been looking to find another one so that I can use as a donor when my friends bring me their scooters or are looking for parts.

Ah, I see. Says the non-mechanic.
So now I'd say, if the VIN comes up clean and the parts will work for your needs, offer $100 less and go for it.

Regardless of how you intend to use it stolen is stolen and potentially from a fellow board member. Get the Vin and check with the DMV to see if it has been reported as stolen first and if so turn the bum in.

Man I'm so glad I live in a state (NC) where you dont have to register a scooter. 50cc and under, that is, but a 150 with the "1" taken off is a 50cc as long as you arent doing 60mph on it. =) I would buy it, stolen or no- get a bill of sale to prove you bought it and be done with it. =) That's me, though. I've had several scooters stolen from me- and while yes, it sucks (and I would NEVER go steal one myself) I have 0 problems riding a scooter I purchased "for a great deal".

If ya look down at the bottom of the motor on the side it should say what motor it is. it should say something like gy6 or 139 qmb or what ever.

And that is why you had scooters stolen because people are willing to buy them.
