Hey everybody. I am new here. I just bought a new scoot. It is a Roketa MC-119-150. It is my third scoot. My first was a 50cc vespa and me second was a EFI CF moto glory 150. I drove the Glory until it died. It is my goal to build this scoot to be a reliable, powerful dual sport scoot. I am then shipping it down to Lima Peru for me to drive while I work on an NGO helping indigenous and then open an orphanage/ organic farm. I leave in about six weeks. I plan on doing a very extensive PDI and will have somewhat reasonable access to parts there. As far as building it goes, I have about a thousand or so I can utilize for parts. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated. I plan on doing a lot of backpacking so I will have tools and some parts while on the road. SO far my plans include a new CDI/coil, A new carb, I have been thinking about raising the compression, an oil cooler, cam/head upgrade. Thanks for any help. Attachments:

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a carb? I was thinking about doing a 28 or 30, OKO grey or black.

The 150s come with a 24mm carb you really do not need a bigger carb and your just wasting money in my opinion. If you bore the motor out or even just put in a Big Bore Kit all you need to do is Re-Jet the Main Jet and Maybe the pilot jet. The 24mm carbs usually come with a #35 Pilot Jet and a main jet anywhere from 103 to a 107. If you slap in a Free Flow Filter you need to up jet 2 sizes on the main jet only, If you then add a free flow muffler then up jet another 2 sizes on the main jet. Leave the Pilot Jet alone. You will only need to go up to a #38 if you add more displacement to the motor. If you add displacement to the motor then you will only need to RE-JET the Main. My 157qmj motor on the trike you see in my sig was a 149.6 cc motor which is probably the same motor on that scoot you want to buy or have. The cases where bored out to except a 62mm BBK and I also have a 60mm Stroker Crank to bring the displacement to 182ccs. Now I have every possible mod on it you can have and it has the 24mm carb with a #38 Pilot jet and a 122.5 main jet. I have over 5k miles on the motor after the build. Alleyoop

I looked long and hard at that one before i got my BMS but its just too small for me. If i was 5' and 160 lbs id roll it but im 6' 245 and id look like a pumpkin riding a Popsicle stick.
