Yeah... He seems to be a douche... I paid him $40.00 yesterday just to look at the moped & for the belt, it was only supposed to be $35.00 but he didn't have change. Which I believe is BS. I know I will NEVER use him again & I will not recommend him either. I'm gonna post a pic & a video in a min...

That actually isn't your clutch its the clutch pulley. Your clutch is hiding on the far right of the pic. It is under the bell shaped metal thing on the outside can't really see it without taking it apart notice it is spring loaded and in more ways than one.

& Here is a video... As you can see, we were moving the clutch in both directions & the part behind the springy part kept going in the same direction, never changed when we changed direction... I didn't know if that meant anything or not?

Can you get that same shot with the belt on and the bike running I'd like to see what happens when you rev it and hold the wheel.

I have tried to get one like that but, it wont start up without the cover being on because the starter gear thingy jumps out. Its been like that since day one, I thought it was normal.. But, I have found out that is it not normal... That has been added to the repair list at a later point, it starts up fine with the cover on. The tire moves when I spin the clutch. But, I noticed the pulley will not move, unless I move the whole thing. & When its moving & I change direction of the clutch, it will still spin in the same direction, it wont change with the clutch.

I don't remember if mine did that or not sorry maybe some one else remembers. Not sure how much you can really tell like that with out a load on the system.

so i have a tidbit that i havent seen someone mention to you yet. on the face of the clutch itself depending on which one you have there will be a 28mm hollow about 1/4inch thick nut that youll have to get off inorder to take the clutch off the clutch pulley. now mine was a huge pain in the bc even tho it was a 28mm nut a 28mm socket would not fit because the turns had a wider angel on the turns of the nut. i had to go to a 30mm and go real slow with the impact.
gl its doable but can be tricky

Got the video of it running with the cover off! I cranked it with the cover on & ever so carefully took the cover off... & this is what I saw... Now, since the video was taken, I managed to hulk out on the scooter & got the clutch off.. I took some pix, if anyone would like to see those? I think I did an ok job on the video considering it was taken inside my cabin with low light. Anyways.... Thoughts?

[replyingto=dykimusprime]dykimusprime[/replyingto]Thats cool,, We needed you to revv up the motor while it was running,,it looked like it was just idling high,,so I couldn't tell if the clutch was engaging without more RPM.When you revv up the motor the belt should drop down into the bottom of the clutch pulley and the front variator pulley should move the belt up to the top of its pulley,,while the back wheel spins fast up to speed.Just please watch your fingers!

Were you holding the throttle open that fast or does it idle like that? Or is that as fast as it will rev? Any way the clutch is definitely not engaging. do the clutch weights move freely now that you have it apart?

I was holding the throttle open, just not a whole lot... I didn't fully inspect the clutch when I got it off... It was late & I had to work today, I will def take a look when I get home this evening. Would you like another video of it running without the bell cover? & revving wide open?
